-People ignore the fact that he is not in the UFC (The #1 MMA league just like NBA, MLB,NFL,NHL are #1). Not being in UFC and calling yourself the best would be like not playing baseball in the MLB and calling yourself the best.

1st off Fedor himself doesn't claim to be the best. He is more humble than any fighter out there. As for him not fighting in the UFC does not change the fact that he consistantly voted #1 by his piers and sports writers as the #1 heavyweight. It would be tough to compare the UFC to MLB, NFL,NBA & NHL because MMA is an indivdual sport not a team sport. Yes the UFC does have the majority of the best fighters but doesn't mean they have them all. There is probably a good list of names of fighters out there that they wish they had. UFC's heavy weight division has alway been weak. And know that they have added some new names to the mix I'm not so sure how you would start claiming those guys as better than Fedor. It just doesn't add up.

^Worst post ever.

First of all, to be the best in the world you have to be the best in American domestic leagues. THis is a fact.

To be the best basketball playre in the world you have to be the best in the NBA, to be the best baseball player in the world you have to be the best in the MLB. These are facts.

Hence, by simple logic to be the best fighter in the world you have to be in the UFC.

Brock Lesnar would kill Fedor, he's all-American, bigger and stronger. It would be like a fight between a big manly football player like Brian Urlacher and some european soccer player.

So to be the Best Soccer player in the world you'd have to compete in the MLS? I would say no to that. Once again this is not a league. this is one on one fighting. Yes Brock Is big and aggressive and a very good wrestler who has a good chance to beat Fedor but at the same time remember Brock has only 5 fights under his name and not really the best of competition. Even if Brock was never to fight Fedor his win/loss record just doen't add up. Fedor is the WORLD SAMBO champion numorous times and could KO a bull. Now being a world champion in a specific Martial art is alot bigger than being a National Champion at a College level. Yes there is a big Size difference between the 2 but that hasn't slowed Fedor down yet. Until someone does beat him it will be a hard time taking away his #1 ranking.

Since MLS is the best soccer league in the world, they have the only soccer player that makes any money or is known. Can you name me any other soccer player other than david beckham or any soccer league than MLS?

Second, Fedor could never beat Lesnar. Lesnar is a big manly monster.

do I even need to respond a third time after your 3rd? Lesnar is a big manly Monster? Thats your arguement? As far as a soccer player here is a name : Wayne Rooney and the other Soccer league : English Premier league. I guess I should save the rest of my ammo for someone who would put up a fight. but here is my closing statement

Fedor is the best no doubt about it. Brock is good and has potential to get better but all this arguing goes to waste when they fight after Fedor leaves his prime.

The only other fighter out there who comes in close to Fedor would be Anderson Silva with GSP right behind him.

and they dont come close. They are #2 and #3 in no particular order, but Fedor is way ahead, by resume alone.

Not way ahead of Silva.

Silva has fought lots of tough competition (also MW has always been thicker in competition than HW in talent in MMA).

I also think Silva could give Fedor a great fight now despite the strength difference in Fedor's favor.

I think he's still making up his mind who to vote for.

Fair enough

Equally so, adding to it!

Is their a best fighter out there?

I think he even disagrees with his assessment!
What a dumb assessment.

Ask him if Kobe Briant left to play back in Europe he would be considered less than what he is now!.

Left couldn't make a good argument to save his life.

GSP isn't in the top three PFP fighters. He was forced to tap due to strikes from Matt Serra - who at that point in his career had over 20 fights - and had ZERO wins by KO/TKO. And GSP isn't finishing fights in his own division other than against the undersized BJ Penn (solid victory for GSP, but again, if GSP moved up to face Silva, he wouldn't last four rounds - which Penn lasted against GSP). GSP didn't finish Kos, Alves or Fitch. A guy who lays and prays ain't in the top three in PFP. Contrast GSP's recent lack of domination in his own division to BJ Penn. Who finishes all his fights at 155. Period.

Thanks for playing. GSP nuthuggers may now leave...
