Fact, anybody who argues this is denying that soccer is more boring than watching paint dry.

How many of these "football is better than soccer" and "soccer has a small fanbase" TD's do you think you have made? I think you've made more of these types of TD's, than there are of actual people who agree with you, that soccer has a small fanbase.
bconngemini9 said 11/09, 08:39 PM
Im saying that soccer is less exciting than football and hence has a smaller fanbase. People in other countries only watch soccer because they cant afford the NFL, not because they think soccer is more exciting.
OM= Andrew Luck said 11/09, 09:51 PM
Because they can't afford the NFL?
How about because the NFL doesn't exist in other countries? The NFL plays like one game over seas per season at most.
And bconn, I loved the title of your other version of this identical TD,
99% of Americans would rather have a colonoscopy than watch soccer"
Lol, that's gotta be the funniest line I've ever seen on this site.

No other country could afford the incredible expense of plastic helmets and pads, thats why football isn't popular in other countries, not because tehy dont think its more exciting and entertaining to watch than soccer, but because they cant afford it.
Look at NFL London, that game sold out proving football is more exciting than soccer.
OM= Andrew Luck said 11/10, 06:58 PM
Hockey, arguably the most expensive sport in the world, is played all across Europe, in parts of Asia, and in the majority of North America with the exception of Mexico.
Fees to play in league's can be as high as 9,000 $, and that's as early as the age of 16.
Pads, Helmets, skates, gloves, sticks, ice time, coaching, etc. The price of all these things far surpasses that of football, anywhere.
With that said, your point is mute.
Now, might I refer you to Yoda's video?

There is no way that soccer is the most popular sport on the planet. If it was, it would mean these people do not have access to REAL sports.
