The more foreigners a league accept, the lower its ratings will be.

Lets take a look at the sports:

- MLB: Was once America's sport, before the foreigners became common and now its struggling to get people into the stadiums and getting lower and lower ratings on TV.

- NBA: Was once a huge part of the everyday culture, nowdays only the finals get people excited and even worse only if there is marketing involved like the Kobe vs. LeBron hype. The more europeans came into the NBA, the less and less its TV ratings have become.

- NHL: The only time it got good ratings was after the Miracle on Ice, as foreigners now rule that league its pretty much irrelevant to the average American sports fan.

- NFL: By far the most popular league, bigger attendance than all others by far, bigger TV ratings, more media coverage, more overall caring about the NFL than all other leagues combined. The percentage of players who are foreigners? 1%, and most of them are on special teams so you basically never even see them.

In conclusion, if the NFL wants to remain the top sport in America, it should avoid importing any foreign ideas, players or coaches.

Your whole concept makes no sense. Although I give you a ton of credit for this not being about soccer.

Expansion to other markets means more fans and more revenue. If you have a bunch of white guys playing every sport, guess who will be drawn to the game? White people. If you have only Americans playing, your fan base will be almost exclusively American (see NFL for proof).

Diversity of the team means diversity of the fans. Billions of people worldwide tune into NBA, MLB and NHL games on TV, the internet, etc.... because of the influx of Europeans and even Asians playing the game.

Soccer is huge world wide, because it is played by every nation. Sorry, just had to get that soccer dig in there.

Soccer is huge only in countries that cant afford football, like England and Argentina.

Second, Billions of people already watch the MLB, NFL and NBA and even NHL. They are the most watched sports leagues on the planet and what people all over the world talk about just like American movies dominate the world. We dont need foreigners who like soccer playing in these leagues, thats how flopping was introduced to the NBA.

I don't know if I would say flopping was introduced in the NBA by foreigners. Sure Vlade Divac is the king of the flop, but you got guys crying all the time about fouls. That goes all the way to the best players like Kobe and LBJ. Hell, they might whine more than anyone.

You've kind of contradicted yourself though. In the 1st argument, you said ratings have slipped for the other leagues. You say nobody wants to watch baseball and even stars like Kobe and LBJ struggle to fill the seats. Then you say "Billions of people already watch the MLB, NFL and NBA" so I find it strange that nobody watches these sports, except for billions of people.

You haven't actually provided any good poitns.

Most floppers in the league are foreigners and they brought it here.

There is a correlation of the popularity of a league and how many foreigners are in it. MLB has seen a slide in popularity as more foreigners came in, as has the NBA. In other countries the ratings have increased though, but the American audience has decreased.

Also the NFL has replaced baseball as the #1 sport because it remained 100% American.

NASCAR also grew to replace basketball, with more americans watching NASCAR now than the NBA. Billions of foreigners watch MLB and NBA though, but less and less Americans.

THese are fact: If a league increases its foreign content, its American audience will decrease.

Correlation is a big word for you. I am impressed. As for not bringing up any good points, I disagree. Just because you don't understand them, doesn't mean they aren't good and/or valid.

You are simply wrong. That is the best point I could bring up anyways.

lol. I was seriously tempted to just forfeit and give him a win for the effort. Sadly, the statement was too false to ignore.

Technically no. He is welcoming all sorts of Americans to play the game, just no foreigners. I suppose Iraqi's, Koreans and Africans could play in the NFL... just so long as the business model and game itself doesn't adopt a foreign culture. Admittedly a very fine line. lol

Anybody else remember how funny SNL was back in the 90s and then it just got tired, played out, and people left?

Then the show just got stale and needed to probably just take a break.

That's how I feel about Bconn and his TDs.

An interesting fact:
Among the 20 highest paid athletes in the world are found several golfers, NBA players, baseball players, race car drivers, boxers and soccer players. NOT SINGLE NFL player is on the list. So sayeth Forbes.
