If Philadelphia decides not to bring back Vick, which team will take a chance on him?

List 3 teams that you think would take a chance on him and pick 1 of the 3 as his likely home.

Cleveland-Derek Anderson isnt the answer and the Browns arent sold on Brady Quinn. However Quinn has completed 59.7% of his passes and could still be the future of the franchise. Especially with more consistent playing time and not being yanked in and out of the lineup like a yo-yo.

Buffalo-They took a gamble on TO and it doesnt look like it has worked out. The Bills were reportedly interested in Vick before Philly signed him. Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick havent inspired confidence in Buffalo.

St. Louis is my selection. Marc Bulger is injury prone and ineffective when healthy. 55.9%, 956 yards in 7 games (136ypg) this season with 3 TD's to 4 INT's, 5.6ypa with a QB Rating of 68.2.

Kyle Boller is a career backup.

The Rams offense is lacking and could afford Vick the opportunity to develop back into the player he was before he went to prison with more playing time than he is getting in Philly.

1. Oakland Raiders.......JUST BECAUSE OF WHO THEY ARE.

2. Dallas Cowboys........JUST TO STIR UP THE 5HIT.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers........THEY ARE DESPERATE.

Raiders for sure!! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Oakland, maybe. Nothing is for sure with my Raiders and while I would like him to come to the Raiders, I have serious reservations if he would.

The Dallas Cowboys arent interested in Vick, not with their problems with the lockerroom with TO.

Tampa? Really?

Rookie QB Josh Freeman just led the Bucs to an upset win over the Green Bay Packers.

And looked good doing it. 14 of 31 for 205 yards, including 3 TD passes. His QB Rating of 86.1 was solid.

The Rams are the most likely destination for him since they are just averaging 9.6ppg, worst in the NFL.

Freeman is a rookie...good to have a guy there who can show him the ropes and not let him go to the DOGS! Bring on Vick!

The guy is headed to Oakland! NATURALLY!

By the way Dallas would like him if they don't do the business this season. Just to light a fire unders Romo's butt!

I rest my (losing) case.

"Freeman is a rookie...good to have a guy there who can show him the ropes and not let him go to the DOGS! Bring on Vick!"

They have Leftwich to back up Freeman and "mentor" him.

Leftwich has had a better career as a passer than Vick. They wouldnt bring in Vick to mentor Freeman since Josh isnt going to be a scrambling type QB.

"The guy is headed to Oakland! NATURALLY!"

While I agree the Raiders have had a history of taking in strays this would make very little sense.

Vick has played in the West Coast offense in Atlanta and Philly. The Raiders dont have a West Coast tpe of offense. They might be located there but they believe in running the ball and throwing the deep ball.

"By the way Dallas would like him if they don't do the business this season. Just to light a fire unders Romo's butt!"

They have a player to light a "fire" under Romo's butt.

Jon Kitna is a more proven QB as far as throwing the ball than Vick is.

And just a few seasons ago Kitna led the Lions to a 6-2 start before fading down the stretch.

He goes to St.Louis Rams...don't sheep need dogs to help keep them in line.

Jets or Giants?. Plenty of poodles in the BIG APPLE!

Tennessee? Elvis country...ain't nuthin but a hound-dog, with injuries.......

Please accept and argue. Dont ruin the TD by saying Vick hasnt done anything in Philly. Thats obvious but the man also hasnt been given much of an opportunity either.

You pretty much nailed this to me... I am thinking about it, and the only change I could really do off the top of my head is switch what team I'd think he's go to and use the same three teams. Possibly 2 other teams could be used but i might have a harder time arguing it. I will keep thinking and come up with an angle, if i get something prior to anyone accepting i will take it.

Good old Rawk.

November 10, 2009  08:45 AM ET

I know a team that will that you didn't list.

November 10, 2009  08:45 AM ET

I havent lost it yet, Rawk.

Took a brief hiatus and back with my latest.

November 10, 2009  08:56 AM ET

Right has a way with words, but I have to go with the reasoning on the left.

November 10, 2009  08:56 AM ET

I was also thinking Raiders...and Seattle.

November 10, 2009  08:57 AM ET

Right? you picked Tampa one game after thier rookie they drafted this past offseason has his first start and threw a pretty good game upsetting Greenbay? Any team that uses a 1st round draft pick and has now started that player is a clear cut no... thye would be more inclined to give this guy some more proctection with upgrades in the O-line and give him more WR threats than replace a 1st round pick at QB with a Vick who has not played any significant role in the NFL in years and no one really knowing how much hes got left.

I was thinking the Raiders and SF(MAYBE), Seattle is not a bad pick either, however I see Vick wanting to stay on the east coast. but if i had to take this i would have switched clevland with oakland and picked buffalo as where he went because his mentor is probably trying to convince him to go there.

His mentor? I was thinking Seattle because Hasselbeck is a decent QB when healthy, Wallace is a decent back-up, and Vick has played on Mora's team before. They didn't "get along great", but Vick is "a new man."

Vick is a back up.

Yes his mentor... Tony Dungy.

Tony has already said himself that Buffalo is a "Dark Horse" landing spot for Vick next season. Since Dungy has much to do with why Vick is even in the NFL at all this season has a big impact over what Vick decides to do and probably finds that as the best team where he could land a starting position.

Seattle is not a bad choice, but I think Vick would prefer to stay on the east coast which he has said before due to family.(he is from VA)

STL could be an interesting fit, so would CLE, OAK and maybe SF. But if Vick wanted to join a team with any chance of winning and have a starting position I think Buffalo is that team.

TB was not a good choice in this TD to me and ultimately is why i voted for DJ, It would take some very compelling arguments to have me switch.

Thanks for the hot tip Quincy!!

Funny how all this buildup for Vick coming to Philly that he was going to enhance their offense and until I read this TD I forgot that he was back in the league. Shows how important he was...NOT. I guess this is a better punishment for him barely playing for a team that gets his hopes up on playing and finding out that he was never going to play more than 3-4 times a game.

Good points. I was leaning towards Oakland but like you said Rawkstar, unless right makes some compelling arguments, I'm leaning left at the moment.

My list thoughts are Raiders, Buffalo..then Cleveland. I feel that the Raiders are desperate enough and would use Vick to light a fire under Russell. The Bill brought in TO so are clearly willing to take great risks to see rewards. And the Browns, well nothing has worked there in years. I just don't see the Rams as an organization that would want this.. I could be wrong. There are three arguments left and right has not said much yet, but lefts comment: The Rams offense is lacking and could afford Vick the opportunity to develop back into the player Well, you could swap Rams with all the other aforementioned teams.

Agreed. I think St Louis is out of the picture. They are already looking at a top 5 draft pick right now, and I don't see that changing. With the group of outstanding QB's, I see STL finally picking up a QB with their first pick. No room for Vick, if you can still have Bulger take a few snaps before the kid is ready. Vick would be a great fit in Oakland, dump that overpaid moose that they have at QB and install Vick. Browns, well who knows WTF they are going to do and if it will even work. They are a mess. Buffalo is a good option for Vick also

November 10, 2009  10:14 AM ET

Voting for DJ only because those teams are reasonable. The only team I could see from KenyBoy's list is Oakland. No way does Jerry Jones bring him into Dallas and the Bucs aren't going to bring in anyone that would hinder the development of Josh Freeman.

November 10, 2009  10:15 AM ET

It would have to be a team with good pass catching TE's and a solid run game. The Titans and 49er's come to mind.
