In a recent WTA Tour Tennis Match Anastasia Rodionova from Russia was disqualified after losing the first game of the third set. The official removed her after what he deemed as unsportsmanlike conduct. Rodionova was said to be harming her opponents fans after she slapped one of her balls at the wall (about half way up) to the crowd. Rodionova claimed she didnt intend to harm anyone, and she didnt either. I don't believe that Rodionova should have been tossed because she was never given a warning to settle down. In almost all cases the chair umpire would have given a warning before calling the tournament referee to have a player defaulted.

The umpire had to make an imediate decision, the crazy pyscho was obviously harming the fans as she screamed, complained, and moaned, and then started slamming balls as hard as she could at her oppenents fans. His decision to get rid of the russian was justified.

crazy psycho, screaming, complaining, and slamming balls at fans? No that is not what happened. If you actually read the story you would have known that she wasnt screaming and moaning, or being a crazy psycho. Earlier in the match she talked to the umpire about her opponents fans who were cheering (in a loud manor) while she was trying to serve. Anyone who knows anything about tennis knows that much like in golf, the crowd is to be silent when teeing off or serving the ball. She merely hit the ball at the wall in frustration, and even if she did intend to send a message, the chair umpire should have sent a message to her first before throwing her out.

He was justified. There have been sooo many players defaulted without warning for this kind of s.h!t. She went nuts on the courts, you dig?

He was not justified, and no metsman...I dont Dig. And no, sooo many players dont get tossed for this sort of stuf. In fact, in the 36 year history of the WTA only one other player has been DQ'd and that was because she was using abusive language when talking to the judge, even after being warned. Rodionova was never warned, she didnt throw her racket, she didnt yell in an abusive manor at the judge, she just let a little frustraton go, and didnt harm anyone

Ok, but she still attempted to hit a fan with the ball
