Worst MLB Jersey Of ALL TIME

The 1976 Chicago White Sox. They wore collared shirts and shorts. I will repeat that, colared shirts and shorts. They were also extremely plain only being white with blue lettering. The socks were knee-highs which just looked awful because they went to the knees, where the shorts went to. On top of that, because the knees were exposed it made it dangerous to wear. Sliding I dont imagine was much fun.


I have to go with Padres mustard and brown monstrosities of the late 70s. They were so bad that I had to go to the bathroom just at the site of these horrific, most vile colors seen by man. Just look at the University of Wyoming to get a clue on how ugly these were, they're somewhat reminicent but not quite as disgusting to look at. You could also say they looked similar to a taco from Taco Hell.


hahhaa, I like that analogy to taco bell playangry...i have to say thats pretty good. And yes they were ugly, very ugly, but as far as worst, you cant beat a team that was required to wear shorts every game during the season. I would rather wear awful colored jerseys then have to worry about dirt getting all up in my junk after sliding into second base.


The late 70s and early 80s were truly the dark days of uniforms in baseball but mustard yellow has to be the worst in anyones' eyes. Yes, the pale hose had those bermuda type shorts with a sporting butterfly collar (that was the style of the time to quote grampa Simpson), but it wasn't offensive in the way the Padres were. Ok, i do agree that the Padres had some pretty awful jerseys. But I am gonna say this again, I would rather wear a jersey with awful colors than a non-traditional uniform with a collar and shorts. Here is a link to these awful jerseys i speak of.

It looks like my only leg to stand on is the fact the White Sox unis at least were with the times. the style and fashion dictated experimentation on professional sports. I'm sure there were plenty of fans wearing butterfly collars and bermuda shorts in the stands, while I could almost guarantee there was no one wearing p*ss and **** colored shirts or pants, no one. The Padres unis reminded me of the bottom of a toliet bowl, where the Sox were just a product of poor taste.

I have to say the Diamond back's new jersey's truly suck. They went from something totally unique to a red and white this season that blends with other teams. Anything to sell more merchandise.........

No way, It would either be the 76' Padres road jersey which was mustard yellow and brown, or the 76' Astros which was that d a m n orange, yellow, and white striped jersey.
