The jerseys of the early 1980's Vancuver Canucks. Known as "The Flying V", these awful uniforms might have been painful to watch. check them out: http://www.nhluniforms.com/1980s/Images/Canucks3.gif


Those are pretty bad. But I'd have to say that there are a few worse ones:

A big ugly bear head on your chest. Intimidating? No. Laughable? Yes.

Both the logos you showed are examples of a team that has their mascot/logo on the front of their jerseys. They are alternates so they didnt have to wear them all the time either. The Bruins jersey isnt even that bad. The Flames is pretty ugly, but again, They only wore them on special occasions. Also, the flying V has nothing to do with the canucks other than to maybe represent the city they play in....maybe

I'd take, over your Canucks (although they were incredibly tacky)---the Bruins, Kings, Canucks alt, 95 Ducks, Flames, and maybe the Penguins and Lightning.


Ok you would take all those over mine, This throwdown is supposed to be about which one is the absolute worst. So before you vote for either of us people, let yankeeslifer pick one of them to be the worst ever. Instead of taking the easy way out and naming 7 jerseys, can you provide which one of those 7 you would pick to be the worst?


I'd take the Flames, it has some sort of horse-thing for a logo that is shooting out fiery snot. I'd take gaudy over geeky any day of the week. Not to mention the big stupid 'A' on the logo, to signify it's an alternate jersey.

Would a jersey that was designed to be used as an alternate jersey, but vetoed by the coach/gm before it was every actually worn count? Cause if so:

That's the St. Louis Blues' alternate jersey. It was all set to go before Mike Keenan said no (and good for him for doing so). So yeah, if that counts, throwdown over.

i would have mentioned the stick one but canttouchthis threw it out before me, so i voted for the Flying V man, because either way, flying v, or stick in rink, its still Vancuver, and its still awful.
