the rangers got awesome playeers from the free agent list, like gomez, jagr and more

The problem for the Rangers though is they are stuck in a division that sports both the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins, which both finished the season with more points, as well as the New York Iselanders who also made the playoffs. Honestly this is the year that you should expect to see Sidney Crosby take the Penguins to the next quantum level. Their young squad has a year more together and they were a mere two points away from taking over the two seed from New Jersey. New York has had a big name free agent period, Drury and Gomez are nice names, Jagr was all ready on the team. However, I question whether these players are nearly worth the cash they are paying them and I certainly think they over spent to resign Henrik Lundqvist this off season.
The bottomline is that the Rangers are not the team to beat in this division and Scott Gomez and Daniel Briere harldy pushes this team ahead of the Penguins or the Devils.

what are the devils, no offensive game, martin brodeur sucks, he let in about 3-4 goals every playoff game.

So you are going to discredit an amazing pro simply because he had one lackluster playoff round against an offensive unit in the Sens that only the Ducks managed to outscore? Good call...
But seriously, I don't recall the Rangers doing any better against the team the Sens happened to knock off in the eastern conference finals. There is hardly a guarantee that these players on the Rangers are going to mesh properly. Gomez is a nice player, but they are paying him like more than that. Meanwhile Pittsburgh is a solid and cohesive unit with some under-rated signings in Sydor and Sykora, and signing Sid the Kid long term and making him the bonafied captain of this team might make them not only the team to beat in the division, but in the entire east.

but penguins are still young their not as experienced as the rangers, like the Hurricanes and oilers in the stanley cup fnals, oilers got killed, hurricanes were an experienced. so is the rangers. penguins will be a good team but wont win their division.

So what? When the Lightning won the Stanley Cup aside from Dave Anderchuk and Tim Taylor, all their players were kids. Experience is not everything in hockey. The Pens got some experience last year anyway battling against the Eastern Conference Champs in the early rounds of the playoffs. You are essentially homering this pick. Hockey picks are based upon projecting. Sidney Crosby, Stall, and Malkin are ready to take it to another level.

Good call, TheDeity. The Pens, while maybe not signing the sexiest of the FAs available, strengthened their team by picking up Sykora and Sydor, not to mention the fact they resigned Recchi and Roberts and that Letang will surface this year.
Also, there's fact that Crosby, Malkin, Staal and the rest of the young talent they've been developing over the last 5 years have another season under their belt, and now have gotten a taste of success.
They have talent, youth, veteran leadership and depth. Should be a very good year for the Pens.

Report Offensive CommentWhat creates evidence that the Rangers can win big games? A series win over a lackluster three seed proves nothing. Pittsburgh lost to the eastern conference champs.

Report Offensive Comment"martin brodeur sucks, he let in about 3-4 goals every playoff game." ok, regardless of how he played in the playoffs, you dont win the division in the post season. dont get me wrong, im not devils fan at all, but i recall brodeur recently setting the record for wins in a season, which probably makes him a bit better than "sucking"
GO FLYERS
