I think the best team in NFL history is the '98-'99 Denver Broncos. They were 14-2 and in the season they had a thirteen game winning streak. They were defending NFL Champ from the previous year, beating the heavily favored Green Bay Packers. They again won Superbowl 33 for their 2nd consecutive Superbowl. They currently hold the record for most playoff wins in a two year span(7).

I'm going with the '72 Dolphins. No other team since they started playing the Super Bowl has ever gone undefeated. This has to be one of the greatest accomplishments ever. Especialy in the NFL. Thats why I chose the '72 Dolphins.

I agree that is one of the most amazing thigns in sports, but, they only played 14 games that season and their schedule was not hard whatsoever. they only faced two teams above .500, both 8-6, and never faced a division leader. They face 2 2nd place teams, 3 3rd place teams, 4 4th place teams and a 5th placed team. And I wasnt counting the games when they played a team a second time. The '98 Broncos had a tougher schedule and faced mor opponents. And I'll explain that in my next argument.

Even though they only played 14 regular season games, its still a great accomplishment. how many teams go 14-3 and go on to win the superbowl? Still its a great accomplishment

Ok. I'm going to go back to my second argument to support my point. As I said, the '98 Broncos had a much tougher schudule. They faced four teams over .500 and 3 teams that were .500. They faced 2 division leaders, 2 2nd place teams, 3 3rd place teams, 2 4th place teams, and 4 5th place teams. In the playoffs, they faced an 8-8 team, and a 12-4 team. Then in the Superbowl they beat the 14-2 Falcons. After the season, the had 8 Pro Bowlers. Terrell Davis also had a 2000 yard season. They lead the league in rushing TD's

Alright, I'm goin to close on this. Regardless of the scheduale strength, no other team has gone undefeated. Miami had the best defense in the league that year and didn't even get that much publicity because of this. Their starting QB got injured in the 5th game and didn't come back until the AFC championship game against the Steelers. Your doing pretty good if your back up QB won 10 games strait. This team also had the most winningist coach in NFL history.

I don't know who to disagree with more, so I'll just not vote and pretend I never saw this one.
