if you dont take him as your number one choice in your fantasy draft you are stupid

Peyton Manning is the definition of consistency. He plays well every year and has 4,000 yard season after 4,000 yard season. Every year he has 25+ TDs and 10 or fewer INTs. I'll take him over ANYBODY in a fantasy draft if I had the first pick. LT is definitely good, but there is NO WAY in hell he repeats such a performance. There is only room to go down after such a season and that is what I see for Tomlinson. Larry Johnson was supposed to be the big man this year after an electrifying performance in 2005, but he was seen as a HUGE fantasy bust the first few weeks of the season and just didn???t perform as well as he had in 2005. When it comes to fantasy you have to go with a consistent position and QB is normally that position. RBs can get hot and fall off one week after the next; it is a big flip flop position. Give me Peyton ANYTIME and I???ll be happy.

But if we are talking about players in general, then Champ Bailey is up there in being the best; as is P. Manning as well as T. Brady. These players are all VERY good and have been consistent throughout their careers.

tomlinson is a much younger player then peyton he hasnt had the chance to prove himself yet. he wont break any records but he will easily be the number one running back in the nfl hes the most versatile player in NFL history he runs catches and even THROWS touchdowns this guy is fantasy gold

Are you kidding me? LT has had PLENTY of time to prove himself; he is 28 and been playing for six years. Peyton is 30 and has been playing for 9 years. Plus QB's last MUCH longer in the NFL and football overall than a running back. Tomlinson will not be even close to as good as he was last year this year; it just won't happen. Previous performances (like Larry Johnson, Priest Holmes, and Marshall Faulk) show this trend. After being a big time player in the NFL one year they fall off quite a bit the next year. Unless injury claims LT, he???ll still cross 1,000, but he won???t be the same fantasy monster he was last year. Manning wins Fantasy Championships EVERY year (unfortunately only one championship in real life). LT tore up fantasy last year, but not again; he???ll be good and a definite key in winning, but not the kind of one man team he was last year.

what kind of fantasy league are u running? the nfl is a rushing league running backs have a much greater chance to get points plus the chargers have no other chance but to run except for gates sure the colts have great receivers but they also have a great upcoming rb who with most definitely gain more touches this year. yes qbs last longer but im not saying a decade im saying this season tomlinson will tear up the nfl once again
