Dale Murphy, and when i say Atlanta Braves I mean since they moved to Atlanta. When u think of the Braves of yesterday, u think of Neikro and Murphy. He played in 7 all-star games, Won 4 Silver Slugger Awards, 5 Gold Glove Awards, and Two NL MVP Awards back-to-back. There were many great Braves players, but Murphy I believe was the best.

Nope, I'm taking John Smoltz, the guy is amazing.
John Smoltz has the following stats: 203-142 record, 154 saves, career 3.26 ERA, 2,895 strikeouts, 1.17 WHIP, and he averages 196 innings per year (including his years as a closer).
He also has 9 All Star appearances (2 more than Murphy), a Cy Young, a Rolaids Relief Man Award, and a Silver Slugger (P).
In the playoffs, he has the following stats:
15-4, 2.65 ERA, 207 IP, 194 strikeouts. He does even better in the World Series.
Sorry, but I'd take Smoltz over Murphy.

Dale was the leader for the Braves in the 80's. He retired with .265 Batting Average, 398 Homeruns, and 1266 RBI's. In fact only Chipper Jones has passed Murphy's record for most HR's as a Brave. It's a shame that the Braves got rid of him before they started their amazing 14 division titles in a row, but he will still go down as one of the best Braves hitters of all time and deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

How many players get over 200 wins, 150 saves and (he's close to getting) 3,000 strikeouts? And a Cy Young, and a Silver Slugger (pitching)....

Hank didn't play much with the Braves, just broke the record with them. It's gotta be Smoltz.

I'd take Smoltz over Maddux, but it's close. Greg spent a good bit of his prime with the Cubs.

Hank Aaron and then Dale Murphy. I saw both play and they were amazing. John is a great pitcher but he will never reach 300. We are saying the best?! Maddox at least desreves a mention with his over 300 record.
