this is tough but first of all i am not including these players " 1)kobe bryant he is great but as we seen before ,nba is not mlb , stats does not win you mvp's , winning games win you the mvp award, and kobe does not have enough talent on his team to win enough, 2) dirk nowitzki , everyone is still shocked from this year's playoffs i dont think the mavs will win 67 games and neither will dirk get votes for the mvp as he did this year.
top 3 probable mvps with no order are:
1:steve nash : the suns is almost the same team as last year's team. + grant hill .and nash still has 1 year in his great career to go for the championship
2: yao ming : he was doing great last season before he got injured no1 could stop him , the rockets got new players (steve francis, mike james) and they also got a new offensive coach : adelman .which directly make the rockets a top team
3: kevin garnett: this is a shocker for some but east is known to not have good big mans , garnett will play on a very talented as we all know , the east is weak so they can win games and garnett should dominate the board as usual and take advantage of the weak post defense in the east

IN NO ORDER JUST LIKE YOURS:
1. Steve Nash- Had a phenomenal season this past year, and I honestly think he didnt get the nod because he had already won 2 back to back, and people wanted something new and didnt want him to be in such great company with 3 in a row just yet. He is again going to be unstoppable at the point, easily a Top 3 candidate.
2. Lebron James- I was puzzled to not see him in your list. He is undeniably one of the most dominant players in the NBA. James and the Cavs will once again bring in some success, and James will be the leader.
3. Dirk Nowitzki-The Mavs and Dirk dont look to be a team that will suddenly fall off the map. They will once again do well, maybe not get 60+ wins, but be one of the elites in the West. Dirk will continue his phenomenal play. Any reigning MVP deserves to be a candidate.

We both agree on steve nash that is good , let me talk about lebron james. The cavs are still the same team as last year , they have not done any new changes , the eastern conference has gotten 3 or 4 better teams than the cavs : bulls , Celtics , knicks , pistons , and too many good teams , I don???t think lebron will get 5o wins this season , and the cavs wont have the second best records in the east as they did last year .
Lets talk about dirk : everyone knows that he only got the mvp this year because the mavs team won 67 games and dirk was the best player on his team not the best player in the league , kobe Bryant and nash were the best players in the league , everyone regrets giving him their votes for last year???s mvp , I see that he has no chance of getting the mvp this year after this year???s disappointment .
For all you people who left comments about kobe , I love kobe to death my picture shows that but the lakers cannot win 50 games , kobe has owned the stats the last 2 years but with that he did not win the mvp , I don???t know if voters would change their mind and vote for him for mvp this year .

About Lebron James...I wouldnt say the Bulls are a much better team than Cleveland. Their season series last year was 2-2. The Celtics and Knicks both look promising. They will be very good teams, but I doubt as good as Cleveland. There are to many superstars in Boston, KG, Pierce, and Allen all are players that normally get 20+ points a night, and I dont see them sharing to well. In New York, that team is filled with players that are scorers, and a few trouble makers. Neither Boston or New York are guaranteed success stories. Id bet the Cavs offense will be more effective next season with Mike Brown more than likely putting Daniel Gibson in the starting lineup. And we all know how effective he was at times during the playoffs. Their defense was extremely tough and Id figure the Cavs to once again pull out another 50+ win season. Maybe not the #2 seed of the East, but a solid season. And Lebron seems to be getting better every year, he will be more dominant as ever.
Dirk: You cant just write him off. Like I said, a reigning MVP at least deserves a chance. The Mavs dont seem like a team that will suddenly drop to 50 wins. Dirk is that team, the Mavs will be good enough.

There is no doubt that the bulls are a better team , they have one of the best defense in the league , starting with ben Wallace a 4 time defensive player of the year as a center . they have plenty of potential future allstars , : deng , Gordon , hinrick , Thomas . they also got noah in the draft who is a very good young player , cavs on the other hand has lebron james who does not seem to be consistent outside shooter as we have seen in all his career , denial Gibson did good in the playoffs but noone really was expecting that from him , teams this year wont let bobbie fly under the radar they will have some good ???D??? on him. As I said I don???t think the cavs will be that good : the east is much better than last year: pistons , bulls , heat , Celtics , knicks . wizards (gilbert and buttler back) nets will be healthy with cristij at center this year 2 , I cant see lebron getting 50 wins and under 50 wins as we seen before (kobe Bryant 2006and 2007) you wont get the mvp award

Could you have at least used better puncuation? Hated reading all of that.
Anyway...Chicago does not have one of the best defenses in the league. They were 16th last season to Cleveland's 10th. And Chicago was only 2 positions better than Cleveland offensively. (Chi: 13th Cle: 15th) James was a .335% from the 3 point line, pretty good comparing to the best of entire NBA like Peja S. with .40. Overall James shot .48% from the field. Very good. Saying Gibson will get more D on him doesnt mean he'll get shut down entirely. That point holds no ground. Its not like football where you can squib/pooch kicks when there is a deadly returner on the field. The East is still the East, not one game has been played yet, so we have no idea how those revamped rosters in New York and Boston will work out.Lebron James, Dirk Nowitzki, and Steve Nash are my Top 3.
