You said that Brian Westbrook and Rudi Johnson are better then Curtis Martin and Lerenzo Neal....

Your an idiot....

What makes you think that they are better??

First, you should have to be able to spell names to be in this challenge. "better then?" "Lerenzo?"

Other than this, Martin is retired, and Neal is more of an H back. If you're talking about Martin, when he was actually young, then this would be a better argument.

Also, are we arguing the two backs in pairs? If so, you definitely have to go with Westbook and Johnson. Westbrook had just shy of 2,000 total yards in 06, and Johnson had his 3rd straight 1,300-plus yard season.

Yes im talking about Martin when he was young. I challenged another guy who left comment in my TD about 90's players vs 2000 players...so of course it was in his prime. If you didnt know the premise of this TD, you should not have taken it.

Martins stats
Pro Bowl (x5)
3,518 career rushing attempts (3rd all-time)
14,101 career rushing yards (4th all-time)
17,430 career yards from srimmage (7th all-time)
90 career rushing touchdowns (12th all-time)
100 career rushing/receiving touchdowns (19th all-time)

Okay, so why did you throw in Neal? Are you comparing a journeyman fullback to a stud like Johnson? It's ridiculous.

As far as comparing Martin to Westbrook, give the latter Martin's 3,518 carries, and Westrbook will gain 16,534 yards, based on his career 4.7 average. As far as receptions, Westbrook is well on his way to racing past Martin in this category too. Let's not forget that Westbrook also returns kicks and punts.

A journeymen fullback??? Once agian, do you know who neal is?? he has been lead blocker for 1000yd rusher after 1000 yd rusher. Lets see the list of RB's he's blocked for and how productive they were...

Adrian Murrell
Warrick Dunn
Eddie George(2x 1000yd plus seasons)
Corey Dillon(2x 1000 yd season)
LT (4x 1000 yd season)

Maritn is the definition of Underratted. He is top 5 all purpose back of all time(Thomas,Payton,Faulk,Allen). You know you cant give Westbrook a career avg of 4.7. Thats misleading cause he doesnt carry the ball that much, as opposed to Martin

In 5 years, Westbrook has 736 carries. In Martins first 5 years he had 1694...MORE THEN 2X the amount of work load. He broke 300 ATT, 8 times in his career. Where as Westbrook's career high in carries was last season of 240 carries. Martin is a work horse if any player is one.

If you want to compare blocking backs, then you should not have brought Rudi Johnson into the mix.

Westbrook may have fewer carries, but this dotake away from his career 4.7 average, nearly a yard better than Martin's

The biggest separation is Westbrook's versatility. His huge receiving yards and 70-plus catch capability make him a little better back. Martin's career numbers are great but if you're taking the two when they're at their best, you have to go with Westbrook.

Hey commish show some class man .. curtis martin is the best but given time westbrook and johson will be the best .. im gonna decline this just b/c ur an**** about it .. ps i voted for u on that TD so grow up

August 7, 2007  02:02 PM ET

HabzFan, you are dumb. He was going to go against you and make a point. I think your the one being chicken about it. So don't say that to him. Your the one that needs to grow up, Habz.

August 7, 2007  02:06 PM ET

Holla back in 10 years when Johnson and Westbrook deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Martin

August 7, 2007  02:08 PM ET

Rodger, HabzFan didn't argue because he thought he was going to lose, what a chicken.

August 7, 2007  02:09 PM ET

martin is one of those quiet under the radar backs that just did the dew his whole career, if things had gone a little different for him he could have been 1 or 2, but he is still one of those great abcks, he doesn't get enough credit, Martin is the definition of underrated.

August 7, 2007  02:10 PM ET

and Rudi Johnson? ****

August 7, 2007  02:20 PM ET

Man you guys show alotta class on this site eh
this is an unfair TD because weve seen how both of there careers have played out .. weve yet to see how westbrook and Johnson go .. neither of u get a vote .. and for god sakes Detroitfan and Rodger .. grow up !!

August 7, 2007  02:20 PM ET

I would rather have neil then johnson on my team

August 7, 2007  02:21 PM ET

thanks habz I am sure your flaggin of these two for personel fouls will prevent name callin in the future...ummm NO

August 7, 2007  02:23 PM ET

i dont even know what flaggin is .. im fairly new to this site ,.. obviously .. i came here to have fun .. not to get into fights with other ppl

August 7, 2007  02:28 PM ET

Let's keep it fun, guys. I like the argument, but I do also like Curtis Martin, as evidenced by an article I recently wrote at Endzonebuzz..com --

http://www.endzonebuzz.com/50226711/curtis_martin_retires_as_nfl s_fourth_alltime_rusher.php

August 7, 2007  02:31 PM ET

Curtis Martin has had a better career but Westbrook and Rudi Johnson have been better the last three years.
Westbrook had over 1,500-1,200,1,900 yds from scrimmage over the last three seasons.
Rudi Johnson rushed for 1,450+ yds in 04 and 05 and had over 1,300 rushing yards last season.

August 7, 2007  02:32 PM ET

but fights are fun

August 7, 2007  02:32 PM ET

Lorenzo Neal is a Fullback who couldn't even come close to Westbrook or Rudi Johnson when it comes to producing as a RB.

August 7, 2007  02:52 PM ET

NOT PRODUCING...LEAD BLOCKING

See, i challenged someone who knew what this TD was about. Then someone who didnt know what it was about took it...

August 7, 2007  02:55 PM ET

how is this close?

August 7, 2007  02:55 PM ET

Commish u got it based on ur good arguement and the incompetence of your opponet for accepting something and then not knowing what the hel.l there talking about.

August 7, 2007  03:02 PM ET

I got it based on the fact that Neal may be the best blocking FB in the past 50 years......

and Martin is top 10 RB of all time

August 7, 2007  03:03 PM ET

i dont know bombers????

I guess there is a bunch of 13-15 year olds on this site who have no idea of the caliber of RB that martin was

August 7, 2007  03:04 PM ET

If anyone wants to know the premise of this TD....check out this TD
