Alright, here we go. I don't know jack squat about the NBA but i'll try my best with this one. I believe the MVP for next season will be Kevin Garnett, the newest addition to the Boston Celtics. Garnett, already a star in the West, will be a freaking supernova in the East. He's a big man who will not have much competition and he will absolutely dominate the Eastern Conference and the Atlantic Division. I'm not saying he will make Boston into a playoff team but they will get much better with Kevin Garnett. With help from Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, Garnett will continue to be an absolute giant of the game.

i'm going to have to go with lebron, lebron james took a monstous step foward last year by leading the cavs to a 50 win season and the nba finals
kg is a good pick, but i dont think he will be as valuable to the celtics as lebron is to the cavs, without lebron, the cavs would be awful, the celtics without kg would still be ok because they have other great players in ray allen and paul pierce
lebron is only 22 years old, that's scary, it just shows how much potential he has and last years run to the finals was a step to another level for king james

I think that last year was LeBron's best shot at MVP; Now he's got a former MVP winner to compete with in Garnett. Garnett will make a huge difference as he will be one of the few effective big men in the East. Boston now becomes a bigger threat than a lot of teams in the East because they have a socring and passing big man who can rebound and won't have much competition because of the overall lack of height in the Conference. all Garnett really has to compete with is an aging Shaq, Chris Bosh, and Dwight Howard. LeBron will always have D-Wade to compete with for best guard but starting this year, Garnett will stand alone as the best big man in the East. Being in the media heavy and savvy Boston market doesn't hurt him, either. Basketball has exploded in Cleveland with LeBron's emergence but it will once again blossom in Beantown when KG starts it up this year.

kg might give lebron a run for his money, but he won't win it because of the fact that lebron is way more valuable to the cavs than kg is to the celtics, without lebron, the cavs are a lottery team, but the celtics without kg would probably still be a playoff team since they have allen and pierce
so kg will light up the stat sheet this year, but lebron will too and the cavs will probably finish with a better record than celtics as well, meaning he'll have a better chance because the more games your team wins the more mvp votes a player gets

i highly doubt the Celtics would even sniff the playoffs without Garnett. look at how horrible they have been as of late. Ray Allen (yeah UConn!) is an addition that while good, would not have pushed the Celtics out of the cellar. Garnett will bring them out of the basement of the basement division of the basement conference. not only will he pad his stats but Garnett will prove that he is an MVP year in and year out.
