you can not pick someone who is considered a rookie but has played in previous seasons (jeremy guthrie 6.98 last year but considered a rookie this year) i pick fausto carmona last year he was 1-10 with a 5.42 ERA and tied an MLB record for most losses in a week with four this year fausto has a 3.17 ERA and hes 13-6 but should be 15-4 in his last 3 starts he has given up 3 ER's and the tribe only scored one run for him. in day games fausto is 8-1 with a 1.91 ERA

This isn't even an argument. It's Buddy Carlyle. Who? Buddy Carlyle, the Braves No. 4 starter who's had an abysmal career before this year. This was his line last year: 14.0 innings pitched; 16 hits; 13 runs; 13 earned runs; and an 8.36 ERA. This year, he's been the Braves bottom of the rotation SAVIOR. He's started 13 games, gone 7-3, 75.7 innings pitched, with a 4.24 ERA, and pitched well in some freaking huge situations (Mets, anyone?). Buddy Carlyle is your man.

fausto carmona was a closer last year but youll notice he has no saves in 8 chances! he tied an mlb record for losses he is technically one of the most losingist pitchers there is and buddy has only had 13 starts this year with 74 innings so he hasnt even pitched the whole year and only has 47 K's while buddy's numbers are impressive from last year fausto was the losingist pitcher last year he had so many blown saves and no his ERA has a chance of dipping under 3 with 18 wins

In his career before this year, Carlyle was considered a huge bust. He had one win. ONE WIN! And that came in his first year. Fausto is younger, so you expect up and down. Carlyle was a straight up reclamation, junk pile project. And don't demean his 13 starts this year. After the Chris Redman debacle, the Braves were grasping for straws. Carlyle has been the most important pitcher on the Braves staff for two months. He's been the anchor to the Smoltz-Hudson one-two punch.

ill agree that buddy stepped up when the braves needed him im not saying hes been bad but fausto has been better and buddy only had 7 starts before this year explaining why he only had one win. plus fausto stepped up BIG TIME look at the c-town rotation
1. cc sabathia excellent
2. fausto carmona the only other good one
3. was cliff lee his era was over 6 1/2 so they sent him down
4. paul byrd average at best
5.westbrook 5.00 ERA
without fausto the tribe would be struggling

The Braves rotation is WORSE than C-town's. We're talking about Jo-Jo Reyes and Chuck James, here. The bullpen is falling apart because Bobby Cox has mismanaged them and worn out Soriano's arm. Speaking of which, if it weren't for Buddy Carlyle, the Braves would have bowed out long ago. Bobby Cox has cost his team many wins because he refused to bat A.Jones (.215 BA) 8th. So, because Buddy has won 6 out of his last 7, all of which were must wins, and he's single handidly saved the Braves season. That is clutch, that is improved
