I simply think the odds are against him getting hurt again. How much bad luck can you have?

Totally Disagree. I am from Philadelphia and I love the Eagles, and everything they have to offer this year, but even I dont think McNabb will play 16 games this year.

First of all I feel the Eagles will have the division wrapped up before week 17 so I dont think he will play week 17 regardless if he in injured or not.

The injury he had last year is a very common one and he could easily tear his ACL again.

McNabb has played 16 games in a regular season only 3 times in his 8 year career. By the end of this year McNabb will have played 3 16 game regular seasons in his 9 year career.

But that's my point. I just think that the odds are in his favor. And if I'm wrong he should think about hanging 'em up. I'm from the Jersey shore and love the Eagles too. Maybe it's wishful thinking. But I think that all of the games will matter as the Cowboys will keep the race tight.

How are the odds in his favor? It is very much so wishful thinking.

Last year was also the third time in five years McNabb went down with six or more weeks left in the season.

Too many things can happen to NFL players to make them miss a game or two. And with McNabb's history you would think at least one thing is bound to go wrong.

The Eagles now have a reliable running game. If they continue to run/pass 50/50 like they did last year, as opposed to throwing the ball almost 70% of the time, he will be in less danger of getting hurt again. I think he will play smart and make it through the campaign.

I think Mcnabb did play pretty smart last year. I think on the play he was injured was the right thing for him to do. Go out of bounds that is.

They did a 50/50 last year because McNabb is on a totally different level (in my opinion) than Jeff Garcia, and Andy Reid was not confident with Garcia throwing the ball.

McNabb will be out at least one game.

Ugh, another one of those, "wait and see" arguments. Theres no point in doing this TD, none of you can be right until it actually happens.

So then don't comment and move on.

I don't have to vote on who I think is right, I'm voting for eagles because he has a better argument. And also I'm depending on McNabb for my fantasy football.

Which looks like he won't be the same, so I hope I can get Marques Colston out of him :)

im hoping we wont be injured, but regardless, i see the birds having the division before week 17, so there would be no reason to play him unless we are fighting for the bye week

August 11, 2007  03:11 PM ET

Thanks Philly fan. There are too many ways that McNabb can miss a game, and that is one of the ways where injury wont be a factor.

One reason, in my opinion, that he gets injured so often is that Reid passes 70+% of the game. and the Defense knows wuts coming. I think if he runs more the D cant just sit back and watch the pass. So if Reid runs more not only will McNabb most likely not get injured but the Eagles will be more successful. just look at wut happened last year when garcia came in and they ran, they won games.

Not being a homer, but I think this NFC East division is a little tighter than that. I don't see anyone locking up the division until the end of week 17.

I hope McNabb does stay healthy just for the competition, but I really don't think he can stay healthy. He's not as young as he use to be, and coming off an ACL tear is one of the hardest for players to come back on.

I agree with Cowboysfan. It should be fun to watch

August 11, 2007  04:16 PM ET

I didnt know this TD was about anything else other than deciding if McNabb will play 16 games. You agree with me that he wont so I should get your vote.

When did I say they will be two games ahead of the second best team in the NFC? I said the division would be theirs after week 16. Not the conference.

I think your so cluttered with the " I hate the Eagles" mentality that you couldnt vote for me since you dont like Philly.

And I dont even need your vote. I am up by 8. Dumbass.
