You're not even the best team in your conference.
And I'd hold that thought. Cutler only saw 5 games, so the verdict's still out on him. If he goes down/plays horrible. . .your backup is Patrick Ramsey, which deserves an almighty LOL.
And your defense? Denver finished as the #14 ranked defense yardage wise and #8 in terms of points allowed, but that is skewed. They allowed 44 points and 2 TDs through the first 24 quarters (AKA 6 games).
The last 10? 261 points.
7.3 a game compared to 26.1. Hmmmmm. . .
Plus, we're taking about a team that couldn't even beat San Francisco to make it into the playoffs.

True Cutler could go down or underperform but who knows i trust him. Next Our defense has been revamped this year i.e Dre Bly, Jarvis Moss, Sam Kennedy, Jusst to name a few Additions player wise, we addressed the denfense issue staff wise as well. Can you say Jim Bates? And last year we struggled true but we had a rookie quaterback and also some issues player wise that were solved. Last seasons stats were disappointing but this is about the upcoming season stats dont matter.

While Dre' Bly is a good addition, Moss is a rookie, and right now is having quite a few "injury scares" in Training Camp.
Sam Kennedy? The only "Kennedy" on your team is Jimmy Kennedy, who came from the Rams. A DT from the Rams. . .the Rams had a piss-poor rush defense. . .hmmm. . .
You released the leader of your defense. Al Wilson might not have had the stats, but he was the leader. Not Bailey, not Lynch. Wilson was THE MAN on your defense. Shanahan damn near crapped himself when Wilson had to be carted off the field.
And you're still not the best team in your division, let alone your conference. To get to the Super Bowl you'd have to go through San Diego (possibly 3 times), New England, Indianapolis, Baltimore (who beat you down in Invesco Field in the rain)
And this Cutler thing is too pressing. Just because you feel he'll be okay doesn't mean he will be. Shanahan needed to pick a better back-up "vet" than Patrick "who?" Ramsey. He's a joke, and if Cutler does bad/goes down the Broncos are a guaranteed done.

You rember the ravens when they where champs? what took them there this about having a breakout year not about going to the bowl baby. yeah its sam kennedy we got him through free agency catch up on your stats bio> and yeah the only team you named that beat us was indy but that was on a late game field goal when we wasnt doing so good so now what man

The only team I named that beat you was Indy? San Diego gave it to you twice. They outscored you 83-47. LT broke the record for most TDs in a season on your "great" defense.
You need to define "break out year". They went 13-3 last year, and then 8-8 this past year. How is next year a "break out year" when you've recently had success?
You laugh at the Patriots? Dude, the Patriots might just be the best team in the AFC. San Diego, Indianapolis, New England, Baltimore, they're all better than the Broncos.
And your defense stepping it up? They couldn't step it up when they needed to win their final game and they were in the playoffs.
In fact, wasn't it the "almightly" Cutler that threw an INT that was returned for a TD in that game? Or was that INT just game-sealing?
In short, you're not poised to "break-out". Your improvements may be nice, but your defense still isn't good enough.
