i beleive it is fact. starting with the madden 2001 with eddie george, who bobbled the pass in the 01 AFC div. playoffs, resulting in an interception to end their season. in 02 daunte culpepper injured his knee ending his season early.03 was marshall faulk who injured his ankle and never got 1,000 yard season since. 04 vick injured his fibula. 05 ray lewis didn't get a single interception and they didnt't make the playoffs. 06 with mcnabb got a hernia and the eagles were last in their division. lastly, 07 with shaun alexander 3 games in fractured his left foot making him sit 6 games that season.is vince young next?

So if i read my horoscope, and it says "today you will be lucky with money" and I go out and buy a lotto ticket, but lose... what then? Horoscopes must be bogus. But if I happened to win??? OMG OMG OMG. What a great tool to build my life around. My first argument will consist of only one word : COINCIDENCE

it is no coincidence if it happens 7 years in a row to the best player who graces the cover of this great game. this, my friend, is no coincidence.

No coincidence if "what happens" ??? Eddie George bobbles a pass? Do you know how many players drop passes in a game? Ray Lewis didn't get any interceptions? Wow, that has never happened to a player before. Maybe you are right. Maybe Vick's recent legal troubles are still just aftershocks of the mighty earthquake named "madden." As for injuries... football is arguably the toughest game out there. With 300 lb men hitting you as hard as they can... some people are bound to get hurt.

Coinkidink is a cooler word.

August 14, 2007  09:20 PM ET

sorry about that. i don't know how i did it but sorry if it takes one of your arguements.

August 14, 2007  09:20 PM ET

lol

August 14, 2007  09:29 PM ET

no fact lol

August 14, 2007  09:31 PM ET

i don't have any arguements left to use?!

August 14, 2007  09:33 PM ET

u posted 3 times... lol and now i cant refute anything u say for a 3rd post, cause i gotta wait for u ;-)

August 14, 2007  09:36 PM ET

ill just finish it here. eddie george bobbled the crucial pass to get them to the super bowl. ray lewis got a career high 6 interceptions the year before. i know it is one of the toughest sports but those injured were the ones who were one the madden cover that year.

August 14, 2007  10:00 PM ET

ohh yeah that helps.....

August 14, 2007  10:02 PM ET

its happened too many times to be a coincidence

August 14, 2007  10:03 PM ET

Your argument isn't betters, its "LUDA." There is no madden curse. A player appearing on the cover of a video game doesn't have any impact on the way his real life season plays out. It's like a fan saying "oh man, i just turned on the TV and we are down 2 fieldgoals. If I was watching the whole time, i bet we would be winning." Contrary to popular belief... fans aren't 'good luck' and watching a game on TV doesn't help their team win more.

August 14, 2007  10:07 PM ET

duh....if it was just 1 or 2 years i would be on your side. but 7 years is too long to be a coincidence.

August 14, 2007  10:10 PM ET

did fvkasm2x use all 3 arguements?

August 14, 2007  10:15 PM ET

BOOM!

August 14, 2007  10:23 PM ET

Don't forget 2000. Barry Sanders was blurred in the background, and he retired before the season began!

August 14, 2007  10:33 PM ET

August 14, 2007  10:34 PM ET

I can't take my last turn... cause you have to go first. But u cant, since u double posted

Actually, Eddie George was the last one not affected by the curse. He ran for more than 1,500 yards and 14 TDs that year. And, ironically, he was a Titan, so VY will be immune.
