Any GM in the league would take LeBron over Amare Stoudemire.

First of all, they play two different positions and have different styles of play. Amare is the power big guy who can get 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. But LeBron is the guy who's pretty good at everything. He'll get 20 points, maybe 7 or 8 rebounds, 3 assists, usually zero blocks.

I think the real question of the 1st team is how in the world was Steve Nash the 4th highest point-getter when he's going to be a back-to-back-to-back MVP winner. And once Steve Nash is gone I think the PHX Suns will be Amare's team. He'll be the leader.

First of all, Amare isn't a true center so putting him on the team as a center is BS. Secondly, how does the your Nash/Amare discussion support the fact that LeBron should or shouldn't be a first-teamer?

Why isn't Amare a true center? He's a FREAKING BEAST. Amare does everything a big man is supposed to do: get the rebounds and make the outlet for the fastbreaks, score in the post, and block shots. LeBron is a small forward. A small forward should be able to shoot a little bit. Everyone knows LeBron James is a bad shooter. There is no way LeBron should be on that team ahead of Amare. You're just mad because the Suns got 2 players on first team, best sixth man, and 1 all-defensive first teamer.

First of all, I don't have a problem with Amare whatsoever. However, if you consider him a "center", I would go so far to say that Duncan should be the 1st team center, replacing Amare.

LeBron isn't a beast? Please. His combination of size, strength, speed and skills is unmatched. Also, this guy - singlehandedly - led his team to back-to-back 50 win seasons. Amare plays with the reigning MVP.

LeBron is better than Dirk and he is better than Amare. Period.

No, LeBron doesn't have much skill at the game of basketball. He's only athletic. He can't shoot to save his life. Dirk can shoot and even though he isn't one of the most athletic guys on the floor, he's still one of the best. Word just leaked to an ESPN.com Insider yesterday that Dirk will be receiving the MVP Award.

The argument is terrible, but LeBron SHOULD be a first teamer.

Lebron 1st Team, Dirk 2nd Team

Lebron is more valuable to his team and his stats are better
28 ppg 8.2 assists 7.7 boards 1.8 steals

Dirk Diggler:
24.6 ppg 3.4 assists 8.9 boards 0.6 steals

Dirk is SO OVERRATED

How are those stats bad? 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists from a big guy. Come on, how good do they have to be?

INslaw you are doing this topic such an injustice think before you start just writing whatever pops into your head. Youcould have won this throwdown so easily. Anyone who would take Amare over Lebron just does not know basketball.

And to you MVP don't worry you won't have to watch the cavs beat the nets much longer only two more games and it will be over

As for Amare leading the team after nash dream out he is not a leader and never will be just like he lead the suns to a game 1 win. Amare has never hit a big shot in his life and probably will be traded this summer to move up in the draft for someone young and better and not will a knee that is jello

If you don't lose this just by typing "LeBron doesn't have much skill at the game of basketball," I'll throw up in my mouth. Are you retarded?

LeBron was hanging with NBA players when he played in Jordan's camps back when he was in High School.

Basketball skill involves more than just shooting and LeBron shoots just fine. His problem is that his teammates stand around and wait for him to do something, so he is often forced into taking bad shots.

Dirk will be accepting his so-called MVP and going back to his couch to watch the rest of the playoffs. He choked in the Finals last year and was horrible against the Warriors.

Dirk won MVP weve known that

LeBron can't do anything that doesn't involve out-jumping or out-sprinting someone to do it. That's my point. You know he not a very good shooter.
