I think that WVU is too high on this one. They are ranked ahead of V-Tech (No way), FLA, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Oklahoma. I think that all 5 of those teams are better than WVU. Will explain more in next argument.

It doesn't matter if their "better"
WVU plays in the Big East. They have the second best RB in College and the best dual-threat QB. They also have an extremly vicious secondary.
The only "real" threats are Louisville and Rutgers. Louisville might not be as good as last year (lost their defensive standout Amobi Okoye) and Rutgers still has Teel, an extremely sporadic QB at the helm.
Virginia Tech is extremely overrated. Orr was torn to pieces in his bowl game (less than 3 YPC). I'm not sold on their defensive being "the best" in the NCAA either.
Florida lost most of their championship team. The jury's out.
Wisconsin. . .don't know. They'll have to recover from the loss of Stocco.
Michigan might be in the BCS Championship, they might go 7-5 again. Henne needs another consistant year and their defense needs to reload.
Oklahoma isn't better. Boise State (who they were supposed to "roll over" BTW) beat them. Their defense doesn't look too solid.

My argument stands.

In my interpretation of Power Rankings, I see it as how likely they are to succeed, not who is "better" (and FYI, I didn't say they were better).
WVU has a big chance of playing in the NC this year.
The Big East only has those 3 "powerhouses", and WVU seems to be the best of the 3.
Undefeated anyone?

They will lose to Lousville, but VTech plays no one good. The Big Ten is weak with the exceptions of UM and Wis.

Virginia Tech has to play LSU in Death Valley. That's a loss for sure.
And OSU is still alive in the Big 10. They still have Chris "Beanie" Wells and their defense is one of the best.
And WVU will not lose to Louisville. Louisville cannot hope to stop the double-headed monster of Slaton and White.

Report Offensive CommentBesides Hill I dont understand all the pre season hype of the Badgers......OSU is better at every position and Wells should have a better season. Both have Qb questions so I lean toward the more talented team OSU. I follw recruiting very close and the Badgers only get the players that OSU, UM , ND and Penn St. dont want with the exception of John Clay. As far as the Big Easy (East) I think WV has a good chance of running the table and showing up in the National Championship.
