The Knicks Should Sign LeBron. Don't Accept this if You Don't Know if You are a Man.

The Knicks have for years been cellar dwellers, failing miserably since Patrick Ewing was sent packing years ago. And it was for that reason that they signed the guy from the Addams Family and the Italian National Head coach to lead this team back to greatness. But not without gutting the roster of good but not stellar players such as Jerome James and Cuttino Mobley.

And now here we are, it's 2010, the 21st century, and LeBron James is not yet a Knick. If the Knicks want to be like the Yankees, their hometown counterpart, how can they not sign LeBron James? It's been a week already and he's not wearing the orange & blue. How is this possible?

They already signed Amar'e Stoudemire. And even though LeBron is best friends in the world (BFF's) with Jay-Z, Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Byron Scott, Rod Thorn, Amar'e Stoudemire, Dirk Nowitski, and a few of the Backstreet Boys, you would have thought by now that he would have just inked his name on the contract the Knicks have undoubtedly offered.

How can you not play on basketball's biggest stage in the world's most famous arena for the NBA's flagship franchise? Why is he dragging his feet?

The Knicks should not sign LeBron because then Knicks fans would have nothing to complain about.

Stealing from my opponents argument, "[t]he Knicks have ... [been] failing miserably since Patrick Ewing.." . . .and fans from the rest of the league's teams have been enjoying it ever since

If the Knicks sign LeBron, then they might be a relevant franchise again. And the media will cram them down our throats just like they have done with their baseball counterparts, the Yankees.

We know that there's no chance LeBron goes to Boston, so thankfully, us fans avoid the other big ESPN market they shove down our throats - let's hope he doesn't go to NY so we can avoid the other.

We already have seen countless images of LeBron wearing Yankees gear and we've been hearing for years how good of a fit he would be in NY. If it actually comes true and LeBron does sign with the Knicks, how many days in a row are we going to see LeBron on a Sports Center lead where they are pimping their ESPN NY page.

The Knicks should not sign LeBron so that we the fans can enjoy their franchise sucking for another 10 years.

Forfeited Turn

It appears you have missed your window - much like the Knicks appear to have missed the window to sign.

you would have thought by now that he would have just inked his name on the contract the Knicks have undoubtedly offered.
Technically, it is impossible to put ink on his contract before tomorrow. They can agree in principle, but cannot sign until Thursday.

With Bosh and Wade signing with the Heat, the Knicks might have to settle for Amare and only Amare.

The Knicks aren't the Yanks - and thank god for the salary cap to prevent them from being the Yankees.

LeBron should sign with the Cavs - it would make Cavs fans (like me) extremely happy and it is his home town.

If he leaves the Cavs, the Cleveland Home Depots better stock up on rope.

The Knicks should sign LeBron because then Cavs fans would wet themselves.

If the Knicks sign LeBron, then they might be a relevant franchise again. And the media will cram them down your throats just like they have done with their baseball counterparts, the Yankees. Which is awesomeness.

We already have seen countless images of LeBron wearing Yankees gear and we've been hearing for years how good of a fit he would be in NY. If it actually comes true and LeBron does sign with the Knicks, how many days in a row are we going to have to hear Cleveland fans cry? Forget the finance bailout. We're going to have to give you people an emotional stimulus package. Northeastern Ohio can sink into the Earth like Lois Lane in the original Superman for all I care.

The Knicks should sign LeBron so that you fans can enjoy this franchise making it rain for another 10 years.

That's the Knicks win totals by year for the last 9 years. In fact, if you add up all the wins the Knicks have had over the last 10 years, the number is 327...which is 22 wins less than LeBron's Cavs had in his 7 years in the league and 59 wins less than the Nets have had over the last decade. Don't worry Knicks fans, you have had 7 more wins than the Clippers over the last decade.

At least the Clippers have Blake to put their faith in. Who is even on the Knicks roster if LeBron doesn't sign?

Sure, you got Amare - but who's getting him the ball? Eddie House? I, and the rest of the non-Knicks fans, will enjoy seeing his 7.6, 1.6, and 1.7 stat line running the Knicks offense.

True, Cavs fans will wet and poop themselves if he signs elsewhere - but on the bright side, if he doesn't sign with the Knicks, we can watch arrogant New Yorkers sit through another decade where the team is better compared to the Clippers than the Celtics or Lakers.

enjoy mediocrity for another decade Knicks fans....

the Knicks are gonna be the bottom dwellers of the NBA!
and I love it!

It should be called "LeBron should sign with the Knicks." The title makes it seem like LeBron wants the Knicks to make him an offer but they'd rather talk to Mike Miller and Luis Scola.

How dare you diss Scola..

I really hate this TD. Not because it's a bad TD, but it's the thought that the Knicks have ruined themselves for years with bad drafts, no ability to develop players and hired awful personel [Mr. Thomas] and now they just want to buy the parts for a winning team.

It's irritating to have watched the Knicks seemingly squander the last few years to clear out this already hollow team in an attempt to sign James and the others. However, they have gotten a big name, but I think A'Mare is biggest risk for a max deal with that knee of his.

If the Knicks can sign Lebron, they should. He's a major upgrade and makes them a contender.

This is a ridiculous statement. As long as Freddo Dolan is the owner he will give us PLENTY to complain about. Rumor has is during the meeting with Lebron he said "You're pretty tall for a hockey player" and took him on a tour of the Rangers locker room.
