Nene Forevers Team:

PG- Steve Nash- 16.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 11apg with a 93.8% on Freethrows

SG- Vince Carter- 16.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.1apg

SF- Carmelo Anthony- 28.2ppg, 6.6rpg, 4.0apg, 1.28spg

PF- Nene- 13.8ppg, 7.6rpg, 2.5apg, 1.4spg - (led all bigmen in NBA)

C- Dwight Howard- 18.3ppg, 13.2rpg, 2.0apg, 3.13blp- (led NBA)

Conspiracies Team:

PG- Deron Williams- 18.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 10.5apg, 1.26spg

SG- Brandon Roy- 21.5ppg, 4.4rpg, 4.7spg, .94spg

SF- Lebron James- 29.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 8.6apg, 1.64spg

PF- Carlos Boozer- 19.5ppg, 11.2rpg, 3.2apg, 1.08spg

C- Tim Duncan- 17.9 ppg, 10.1rpg, 3.2apg, 1.5bpg

Now... Down to the arguing part.

PG- In this spot I feel that Steve Nash would beat Deron Williams because of his experience and how he has shown over the years just how good he is.

SG- This is a very close matchup, one of the upcoming stars vs a longtime star. In my opinion Vince Carter and his atheletic ability wins this one.

SF- This is the best matchup here, Lebron and Melo, friend vs friend (not literally) close(more on this in my next argument, I'm running out of room)

PF- Boozer vs Nene, a Real Rivalry...

C- Dwight vs Duncan. (more next argument)

PG match is VERY close, but D-Will is coming of a year in which he was arguably the best PG in the league. Nash is great and all, but he has lost a step or 2 and D-Will wins this close battle. (skip to :27)

SG, NO. What has Carter ever done other than Dunk? Roy much more complete player and a better team player.

SF Another good matchup, but LBJ is best player in the league and a great teammate and tops Melo is all stats.

PF- Real Rivalry? Well, I'll let you brag about Nene leading bigs in steals while we look at everything else that Boozer is better at. Scoring, Rebounding, Boxing out, passing. And in the playoffs heads up, Boozer stepped up, Nene regressed and Boozers team took out Nene's.

C-Good matchup, Vet versus rising star. I accept TD is 34 and has lost a step and can concede to Howard as the better current player, but the other tangibles that TD can do will take away Howards advantage.

TD is one of the better mid-range shooting bigs in the league and is also one of the better passing bigs.Howard will have to step out of the lane to guard TD and AS SOON AS THAT HAPPENS, LBJ or Roy drive, easy assist

The way i see this throwdown going, here is what I am going to say. This is supposed to be like a fantasy league in the summer. If it were to be that way then we would go by scoring by category. Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, and Turnovers. The way I see it, you would really only win points and maybe steals. Dwight Howard would take care of blocks and rebounds for the most part, while Carter and Nash would win assists for me. Lebron would lose the turnover category for you because he averages about 5 turnovers a game. In pretty much any fantasy league during the NBA season, the person who had Lebron in the league would lose in tunovers every week. My point right there, I believe that if this werer a real fantasy league I would win at least 4-2 with steals being the toss up category.

Now for more individual analysis:

PG- Nash and his experience in the playoffs would overpower d-will in my opinion

SG- Il give it to you that Brandon Roy is better, but Howard and Carter working together would be a good combination.

SF- Saying how Lebron is the best, can't be true. He had to do everything in Cleveland(more later)

PF- More next argument

C- More next argument

Soooo, you are saying LeBron is not the best and Carmello is better that him? I look forward to seeing that. Don't get me wrong I like Carmello and either he or Durant are the #2 SF's in the league, but LeBron is #1 and to me, the best player in the league.

Nash is a great point guard, but he has lost a step(as I showed in the video up top). But how exactly does he "over power" D-Will? D-Will has 25 lbs on Nash, jumps higher, plays better defense(leads in spg and bpg)...

SG, you've already conceded. Carter is seriously over rated, he's never won anything, he could just jump higher than almost everyone and was a great dunker.

I look forward to see how you compare rebuttle the PF and Center spots.

Sorry mines short but I feel I've addressed everything you brought up and took forever to post back, i've been really busy and am running out the door right now.

Forfeited Turn

Well, I guess we will never know how Carmello is better than LeBron

or how Nene is better than Boozer

But in the meantime here is a clip of some of Deron Williams high lights and reasons why I feel he was one of the best PG's and a step ahead of Nash.

I apologize if I was too short, I ran out of room because I put up the stats for each team.

Seriously, that's less of a contest than Boozer Nene is.

Do you even remember how good Vince Carter was in his prime... And he is just about as good now. Boozer Nene is a legit contest... its just under the radar, they play each other all the time. Whenever Utah plays Denver.

I remember he used to dunk on everyone... don't recall him ever winning anything or making a team better (sorry Magic fans)

gotta go right especially with Timmy and D Will

July 8, 2010  07:08 PM ET

I would love to see Howard with a legit passer. That is the main thing that keeps left's team alive.

July 8, 2010  08:24 PM ET

Sorry that I ran out of room again to discuss the Nene Boozer matchup, I will get that in the next argument.

July 8, 2010  08:27 PM ET

Left - I like you've got Nash in there but Right's team looks more balanced.
