They have improved their running game with Adrian Peterson, theyre defense has improved over last year just by having played a year in the system, and Tarvaris Jackson is not as bad as people assume by his two games he played last year

2006 Stats: QB Rating: 62.5, 475 Yards Passing, 2 TD's, 4 INT's, 58.0% Completion Percentage, 118.75 Pass Yards Per Game, 5.86 Yards Per Attempt...The Vikings were 26th Points Scored last season, that wont change. Seeing that 5.86 YPA tells me the offense and Jackson isnt built to stretch the field. The WR's they have arent the biggest helps either. Out of the 8 WR's last season, only 159 Receptions were made.

The run game will be the only thing the Vikings will rely on. And the Defensive Coordinators of the opponents will know that. Basically crowd the line like the Colts did vs the Chiefs and Ravens in last seasons playoffs. Crowd the line, and the combo of Peterson/Taylor wont be able to roam free nearly as much. Offense needs balance to be succesful. Minnesota doesnt have that. And since the Vikings arent capable of consistently stretching the field, thats one more reason to believe the defenses will know how to defend them.

Thats the schedule, no way the Vikings boast a winning record, much less reach .500.
