1. Tampa Bay.. Though they probably wont win their division, they're pitching is pretty nasty..
2. Yankees.. Looks like it will come down to whoever wins the ALCS..
3. Atlant Braves, my pick to make the world series:)
4. Red Sox.. I know I know, I know, they probably wont even make the play offs, but they are in the toughest division and none of the other teams seem that threatening..
5. Texas Rangers, noice batting line up..
6. suprise pick, Toronto Blue Jays, with Morrow at the helm, no one, and i mean NO ONE, would want toface these guys..
7. Philies, If they get healthy, (which by the time they get to October, they probably will), they will be DAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNGEROUS:)
8. Minnesota, they know how to play small ball
9. Padres.. Theyre starters would be able to keep them in games
10.Cardinals, any team with Pujols, will always give pitchers something to sweat about..

they are the defending champs and i hate to say it, but they only got better
CC, Burnett, Hughes, Rivera, Tex, A-rod, jeter, cano, sadly, still #1
2. Red Sox
before all you haters vote against me, give me a chance
the sox have maybe the best rotation, lineup is still one of the best (2nd in HRs, 1st in R) youk and ellsbury hurt, but still #2
there is a reason they have been to the WS 2 years in a row, Howard and Utley will come back and will be added to Polanco, Victorino, Rollins and more
their pitching is maybe better than last year- Halladay, Oswalt, Hamles
speed, heart, pitching- they got it and maybe the best
the problem: their bats are too inconsistent, in a playoffs series against the pitching they would face idk if theyd be up for it
im gonna shorten it up now
all around good team
great pitching, low payroll- this year's version of last year's Rays
pujols, pitching. 7 seems right
how can you leave 'em off?
i cant put them any higher
they have power, i wouldnt be afraid to face them though

Apart FROM thee thee,(sabathia), the Yankees wouldnt match up against the Rays in a short series.. AND REMEMBER, thee thee would have to face Price TWICE!!! What happens if Price wins Both of those encounters, (which lets face it Price is considerably better then thee thee!)???
I'll tell ya, the Yankees would be completely see-Rewed!!!!!!!
How did I leave the Reds off??? Recently they just got swept in TWO MEANINGFUL series to the Cardinals AND the Phils.. They are the Arsenal of the MLB!!! (They beat up the bad teams, and then get killed against the good ones)..
I dont like Phily as much as your man crush, cause;
1. They are banged up..
2. Roy Holladay is no Cliff Lee!
3. In a series against the Braves they would get DESTROYED..
Although I do like the Red Sox with all my heart..
You have over estimated their pitching my friend..
Beckett USED to be a stud, and now he kind of sukcs.. same with Lackey to a lesser extent.. Every time Dice-K pitches, I hold my breath.. Basically they are missing a NUMBER ONE pitcher who can pitch lights out games!!!
AND HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE MINNESOTA!?!?!?
THEY WOULD CRUSH THE REDS!!!
WHAT A JOKE!!!
THEY WOULD TEACH THEM A LESSON!!!

as you know, i hate the yankees, but there is no denying that they have the best lineup in baseball- even if its only b/c of money, its still the best
CC has proven he can pitch on the big stage last fall and i think the rays would be screwed in having to face Sabathia twice
Recently they just got swept in TWO MEANINGFUL series to the Cardinals AND the Phils..
the last time they played the phillies was June 29- the last game before the all star break, they havent played philly since and is actually coming off a sweep of the marlins
they are missing a NUMBER ONE pitcher who can pitch lights out games!!!
2.8 ERA, 13-7, 165 SO, 1.13 WHIP
his last 2 games against locks for the playoffs on the road:
@NYY 6.1 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 6 SO
@TEX 7 IP, 0 R, 5 H, 5 SO
he got the W in both
Roy Holladay is no Cliff Lee!
yea, b/c that 11 SO perfect game was nothing
no way the jays are better than the padres: latos, garland, richard

I too hate the Yankees, (and my a-h-ole brother is a yankees fan!)..
BUT COME ON.. You are telling me you would rather have thee thee over Price as your number one guy.. If you were a betting man, you would lose alot of money..
In a 7 game series, I really fancy the Rays over the Yanks.. The Rays simply have too much pitching..
With the Reds;
Trust me, they can not beat good teams.. They are very lucky.. They have the easiest schedule for the remainder of the season, so they will make the play offs! But then get destroyed against the Braves.. The recent series they had against the cardinals they got destroyed.. And although it wasnt recent recent, they did get swept by the Phils..
Lester as a number one?? nah, maybe number 2!!!! 13 wins and 7 loses isnt going to scare anyone! Just because he had 2 good games against the Yanks and Rays, doesnt mean he's the best thing since sliced bread, COME ON!
last year cliff lee was flat out nasty when he made the move to the national league.. Holladay is good, but he's no cliff lee!
I fancy that the Jays would slug their way to victory over the Padres.. The Jays have too much power and morrow is a stud!! he would kill them!!!!!!

id take lester over both, but also CC over price
The Rays simply have too much pitching
when hellickson made his first start a couple weeks ago, it marked the first time all season the rays had someone start besides price, garza, niemann, davis, and shields (their 5 man rotation)
since then sonnanstine has started 2 games and hellickson now has 3 games started
the rays pitchers have proven they wont get injured, but if they dont get rest near the end of the season (which they most likely wont be able to) i wouldnt be surprised if they burned out in a 7 game series
13 wins and 7 loses isnt going to scare anyone!
and what, CC and Price both have are 15-5 but when you look at the real stats lester is the best
JL 2.80 ERA, 165 SO, 1.13 WHIP
CC 3.16 ERA, 131 SO, 1.25 WHIP
DP 2.85 ERA, 141 SO, 1.26 WHIP
Holladay is good, but he's no cliff lee!
its funny how you once again left out the perfect game, i thought they were even pitchers until the perfect game
