the Seahawks had arguably the best draft of the year, a new coach, new staff, and new attitude, I thought this would be an interesting topic to argue.
The Seahawks pulled out a pretty easy schedule this year, being in the NFC West, and having drawn the AFC west.
There schedule for 10-11 is
1 Sunday 49ers
2 Sunday at Broncos
3 Sunday Chargers
4 Sunday at Rams
5 Bye Week
6 Sunday at Bears
7 Sunday Cardinals
8 Sunday at Raiders
9 Sunday Giants
10 Sunday at Cardinals
11 Sunday at Saints
12 Sunday Chiefs
13 Sunday Panthers
14 Sunday at 49ers
15 Sunday Falcons
16 Sunday at Buccaneers
17 Sunday Rams
The Seahawks have Pete Carroll, who didnt do to bad his first few stints in the NFL and is off to a promising start so far as a Seahawk. The finally have tall recievers, and have drafted contributing rookies.
The Hawks should play pretty well at home; Quest Field is know at drawing false starts from opposing teams. If the Hawks stay healthy, I would expect a 7-9 record, possibly 1 to 2 wins more from luck.

The Hawks are toast.
No way they get to 7 wins, I think they are in the running with the Bills to see the first overall pick next year.
But to your points
"The Seahawks have Pete Carroll"
Taking over an 8-8 club- Pete went 6-10 in his only year with the Jets.
Took a 11-5 team in New England . . . to a 10-6, 9-7 and 8-8 record.
Thats a TREND my friend, Pete was going the WRONG WAY.
How is that "Didn't do bad?"
He went 0-4 in improving a team over the previous year!
Part of the reason the NFC West is a joke is BECAUSE the Hawks are in there!
They have the best QB- who is brittle, but do they have even the 3rd best RB in the div? 4th (heck- 5th) best WR in the div? Do they have an O-Line? I think the Raiders D will be better.
They go TO the Raiders, TO the Bucs and TO the Bears- the WORST teams they see- are all on the road, they get the Falcons, Panthers, Giants and Chargers at home, and those 4 are looking to the playoffs
They get the Chiefs at Home, and they are the popular sleeper pick, and finally the Broncos on the road in the Broncos Home Opener.
7 Wins? Not even if you include preseason wins

I can understand that you might not agree with 7 wins, but running for first draft pick?! Cmon!!
The Hawks went 4-12 last year, with Jim Mora, a complete new scheme, and basically an injury shredded lineup.
There is a ton more enthusiasm in this years camp, and Carroll is bringing competition to camp to make players earn there spots!
"Part of the reason the NFC West is a joke is BECAUSE the Hawks are in there!"
The Hawks won like 4-5 consecutive titles there at least, and look who else is in there, the Cards ( they still cant pick a starting QB between Matt Leinart and Derek Anderson), the Rams (Finished how many times last in the division?)
"They have the best QB- who is brittle, but do they have even the 3rd best RB in the div? 4th (heck- 5th) best WR in the div? "
Justin Forsett by the way, is also a very popular sleeper pick, and dont count out Leon Washington, that mans still got speed. The Hawks have Housh, and how can he be the 4th-5th best in the division! They also have Branch, and a new comer in Mike Williams, who has had an AMAZING pre-season.
"Do they have an O-line?"
Without there starting LT, They only allowed 2 sacks by the vikings.

"Carroll is bringing competition to camp to make players earn there spots"
I have already written on how little I take Petey's effect at a level where he has the same salary cap as everyone else.
Bringing in fantasy "sleeper picks"??
Oh- I'm impressed
Houshmandzadeh? He turns THIRTY-THREE this year, and was 28th in receiving yards last year, and scored a MASSIVE THREE TOUCHDOWNS
please forgive me for saying anything about Housh being 4-5th in the division. Vernon Davis had a FAR better year- with more yards and TEN more TDs and he only played part of the year with his head OUT of his rear end.
So speedy he went for 331 yards and ZERO TDs last year- and his longest gain was 33 yards.
Shonn Greene had a better year.
You still have not given me the 7 wins you think they can pull on that schedule. you STILL have not explained how these Road Warriors who won 3 games the past two years are going to pop-up and win 7 games.

Petey didnt do this competition stuff in his previous NFL stints.
Actually you know, he wasnt an every down back playing for the jets. And last year, he broke his leg, so therefore, his season was cut short.
You look at 2008 when he played a FULL 16 game season, he ran 76 times, for a 5.9 average!! He had 3 runs of 40+ yards, with his longest being a 61 yarder.
Now dont go calling him Mr. Inconsistent either, last year was his first year not having a full 16 games under his belt.
This is how I see it
Sunday 49ers - W
Sunday at Broncos - L
Sunday Chargers - L
Sunday at Rams - W
Sunday at Bears - L
Sunday Cardinals - W
Sunday at Raiders - W
Sunday Giants - W
Sunday at Cardinals - W
Sunday at Saints - L
Sunday Chiefs - W
Sunday Panthers - W
Sunday at 49ers - L
Sunday Falcons - L
Sunday at Buccaneers - L
Sunday Rams - W
This will give them an 8-8 record, and barring circumstances, realistically I think they will go a 7-9.
Nice throwdown! :D

I love how the road warriors that are the Seattle Seahawks (3-13 on the road last two years) are going to equal that this year with Rams, Raiders and Cards
The Seahawks went 3-3 last year vs the division, and I would say the Rams got better this offseason than the 'Hawks, I would also think the Niners, with the addition of the O-Linesman in the draft- got a good bit better. The Cards got worse, of course- but I don't see how the Hawks leapfrog them when LEON WASHINGTON is the big addition
Hasslebeck is 35
He threw 17 TDs true, but 17 INTS as well, Matt has thrown double digit Ints 7 of the last 8 years- and that 8th year? he threw 9 in that year
-- Sorry, that's a net loss to my eyes. I do like the draft- I think Tate, If Matt can throw over his walker and the O-Line lets him stay upright on a 3 step drop, will be the best wideout on the team, but Reggie is going to do squat and the Hawks have about 17 backs right now and Julius Jones is still starting RB (With Hall of Famer to be Leon Washington 3rd- behind Justin Forsett)
7 wins just isn't going to happen
