he is
almost every rookie runningback did better than him last year
he doesnt run through tackles and his ypc was low like 3.6

I dont know what you are talking about man mabye this is why you are 1-9 but ok I will as a show of good faith I will make a argument. Here are Bushs rookie stats he had 6 TD's 500+ rushing yards and 700+ recieving yards not to mention all he did for his special teams so that right there discredits your argument. Bush was a Top 5 rookie last season.

Seriously, he didn't step into a "feature" back role, so you can't expect 1500 rushing yards and 30 TDs. He is a multipurpose threat that I'm sure the Saints were happy to take when Texans "management" passed him over. I smell sour grapes.

Report Offensive CommentI HOPE NOT !!! HE'S MY FEATURED RB IN ONE OF MY FANTASY TEAMS .......Besides....Does'nt 3.6 X 3 = a First Down every 3 carries ?
Whaddya want from the guy

Report Offensive Commentwell, 3.6 isnt good, but the receptions more than make up for it

Report Offensive CommentI could easily see Reggie Bush being the next Marshall Faulk. However New Orleans won't win anything unless they fix that leaky defense.
TradeAngelos | 08/27/07, 11:06 PM
Report Offensive Commenthe actually had 9 td's total
nickb23 | 08/27/07, 11:07 PM
Report Offensive CommentWELL, the reason he was 3.6 was the TERRIBLE start to his rushing career at the beginning of the season, but as the season wore on he improved steadily and (if I remember correctly) in the last seven or so games he had a 4+ YPC. Also 88 receptions for 742 yards is pretty good especially when you look at the overall picture of 1,300+ total yards and 9 TDs he did pretty well for the NON featured back...

Report Offensive CommentReggie Bush was one of the worst punt returners last year in yards per return. He was one of the worst Rbs in terms of ypc.
You loyal Bushies are idiots if you think he was a top 5 rookie last year. He was pathetic running the ball, so they designed ways to throw him the ball more just so he wouldn't be called a complete bust. He only run the ball well in 1 game all season(that counted for more than 1/5 of all of his rushing yards).
He is a glorified slot WR and nothing more.
And Millen, if he would have went to the Texans he would have been a feature back and he would have failed miserably. He went to a team with a great offense, and cherry picked a ton of TDs in 1 game against the 49ers.
mikeyfarley | 08/27/07, 11:38 PM
Report Offensive Commentthe reason for his low punt return yards per return was the amount of times he called fair catch, i believe it was around 3 or something amazingly low, so a lot of times, he got hammered before he could go anywhere.
What will make Bush a better football player is to realize his limits and perform according to that, not try to win games by himself

Report Offensive CommentWell then he's an idiot for not calling the FC

Report Offensive CommentIf you look at it from a pure numbers perspective Bush had a good rookie year maybe okay by Denver standards. I like to look at him from both a number and a matchup perspective so in that sense I dont hink he's overrated. Its not always about the numbers but numbers do tend to help...He created alot of mismatches and drew alot of attention opening up other aspects of the offense.

Report Offensive Commenti think he brought a lot to the field in the way of EXCITEMENT!
SOCALGAL | 08/28/07, 12:54 AM
Report Offensive CommentWould anyone argue with me the fact that Bush could be the new LT - Shaun Alexander ? The guy has phenomonable ability ( damn that was a cool word ) ....whether the Ofensive line is bad ....he can and WILL make them miss. Plus the guy is new and ~Hungry~ ...... A A A ND .......His heart will get him what his ability cannot, and he will put up huge numbers running AND receiving, just like any great back does. Watch this guy grow if he stays healthy
Zags4final4 | 08/28/07, 01:02 AM
Report Offensive CommentBush is too small and not good enough at breaking tackles to be mentioned in the same sentence as LT or Alexander.
