Were in for over 50 hours of discussion regarding Boise State and who should and should not play for a fake championship.

There is no Champion of Division 1 NCAA Football. Never has been and never will be. Its just a word.

What is sad, is that GameDay is ruined for the season.

How on earth is it ruined?

Fake Championship? Are you new here? Every year there is debate and discussion on who should and who should not play for the National Championship. Boise State is not a new player in this subject at all. They were deemed not worthy a few years ago and played Oklahoma in the BCS Fiesta Bowl.

Would you agree that they were worthy of discussion AFTER that game? I am not saying that I thought they should have played but look at the pre and post game discussions.

Michigan was jumped by Florida in the polls at the end. I will admit I could not understand that. The only reason I would not have wanted OS and Mich to play again was because at best it would be the same game over (OS wins) At worst it made the NC a bigger joke.

My point is that this is not an exact science. if your only reason to say that boise state university should not be part of the discussion is because they do not play in a strong conference, then that is silly. Who in the Big East is a contender?

GameDay has certainly not been ruined. If anything, it has been made better because of the extra teams that are part of the discussion, regardless of your distain.

Can no-one on Fannation actually argue a TD?

I said nothing of whether they should or should not.

The TD is that:

GameDay (the show) that we watch on Saturday Mornings for breakdown and analysis of the days match-ups is ruined for the year b/c it will be hours upon hours of discussion regarding Boise State and the BCS.

ARGUE THE TD

I thought I was doing a good job. I was wondering if you were going to actually START arguing the TD.

I understood ur point the first time. I will re-cap. You think the show is ruined because they will discuss a team which you feel is not worthy of discussion. Now I assumed that last part. Maybe you just don't like BSU even though they are worthy of discussion. See, that is part of the problem here. You have not bothered to make an argument about why it was ruined more than just saying it is.

I have said that Game Day is not ruined. I have in fact gone one step further to say it has gotten BETTER. If BSU had lost to VT, then many questions would have been answered. Fans of the BCS conferences would have smiled smug smiles and just said things like "I told you so." Fans of BSU would have nothing much to say. As long as BSU stays undefeated, they will remain a topic of conversation. As long as there are upsets at the tops of the polls, the topic will heat up. This makes for a BETTER GameDay. If Alabama and Ohio St. remain undefeated, then it will all be a moot point. Here is to a tight race and great discussions!

Take your own advice, ARGUE THE TD.

Pretty sure Frank is a Vols fan. Yes, it was only UT-Martin, but they did win 50-0 this week.

Frank and his gems.

Why not talk about Boise? They are ranked 3rd in the country. Just beat the number 10 team on the road. They have been undefeated for how long now? And that is including their bowl wins against the top teams..

The bs-BCS never wants to see the little guys play for it all. They proved that last year when they matched up Boise State and TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. BSU and TCU could run the table this year and that idiotic BCS committee would still take a one or even two loss team from one of the so called power conferences instead of either of those two programs. And the bs-BCS's excuse will be strength of schedule as to why those two teams aren't allowed to play for it all.

Does that mean Tebow won 2 fake championships and 1 fake best player award?

For anyone saying how Boise State deserves more credit. They play 2 games of note this year. Virginia Tech and Oregon State. Virginia Tech is a good team. Oregon State is iffy at best. The remaining 10 games Boise State has are absolutely meaningless. Wyoming? Idaho? Come on. Blame the conference all day long. Still does not change the fact that Boise State plays a cream puff schedule. Even the announcers last night during the Virginia Tech vs Boise State game said last night that if Boise State were in the SEC or Big-12, they would be no better than a .500 team. Put them in ANY major conference and see how it turns out. How would they do with a schedule like LSU (@ Florida, @ Auburn, vs Alabama, vs Tennessee)? Could count on AT LEAST 2 losses.

Cry me a river. The teams that played in the championship game last year...

Texas played - Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Nebraska and Oklahoma State. All of those teams finished the year ranked. And that is just within their own conference.

Alabama played - Florida, LSU, and Auburn. All of those teams finished ranked (Florida in the top 10) and that's just within their own conference.

This year those 2 teams (Bama and Texas play the same opponents.

Boise State's schedule...

@ Virginia Tech
@ Wyoming
Oregon State
@ New Mexico State
Toledo
@ San Jose State
Louisiana Tech
Hawaii
@ Idaho
Fresno State
@ Nevada
Utah State

Only 2 of those teams have been ranked at all in the last DECADE. And of those 2, Virginia Tech nearly beat Boise State and Virginia Tech is in a rebuilding year. And Oregon State is in no way considered a top team in the Pac-10. So please explain how this "tough" schedule puts Boise State anywhere near the same group as Florida, Texas, Bama, Ohio State etc.

And right....your argument mentions "who's a contender in the Big East". There isn't one. That why the Big East is taken just about as seriously as say... Boise State.
