Over the last 20 years, the Eagles have had the best defensive linemen in comparison to any other team.

For example:

Reggie White
Clyde Simmons
Hugh Douglas
Jevon Kearse
Jerome Brown
William Fuller
Andy Harmon


I'm gonna say the Raiders
Howie Long is a hall of famer
Chester McGlockton has been in numerous Pro Bowls
Derrick Burgess was an eagle reject that the raiders picked up
Darrell Russell made a Pro Bowl or 2 before getting in trouble with drugs
Rod Coleman was a solid interior pass rusher that was often overlooked by media since he was actually a reserve despite leading interior linemen in sacks in the 2001-02 season
Warren Sapp should've been a pro Bowler last year leading all interior linemen in sacks
Tommy Kelly was an undrafted rookie and can play anywhere on the DL in any formation
Pat Swilling, Anthony Smith, and Lance Johnstone were pretty good pass rush specialists.
Greg Townsend and Bob Golic were solid with Long


Reggie White - 198 sacks - 2nd All Time - Best defensive lineman of all time.

Clyde Simmons - 121 sacks - 12th All Time

William Fuller - 100 sacks - 21st All Time

Jerome Brown was a monster until his accident.

Jevon Kearse is only 30 and is still a good pass rusher.

Hugh Douglas was a fearsome pass rusher and great team leader.

Andy Harmon was great.

Raiders, good pick, but...

Pat Swilling was a LB.
T Kelly can't be listed in any discussion of top linemen of the last 20 years.


DEs
Long has 84 sacks in 13 seasons
Townsend has 109 career sacks
Smith has 57 in 7 seasons
Swilling had 107 in 12 seasons and played both LB & DE
Johnstone has 72 in 11 seasons and mainly played as a reserve
Eagle Reject Burgess has 35 sacks in 6 eason (27 as a raider) and 2 pro bowls

DTs
Sapp has 94 in 12season
Coleman has 56 in 8season and mostly played as a reserve
Bill Pickel (1 I didn't mention earlier)had 56 career sacks in 14 years
McGlockton has 51 career sacks in 12 seasons
Russell has 28 in 6 seasons...His pro bowl appearances stand him out
Golic has 22 sacks in 14 Seasons
Kelly has 12 in 3 seasons and was included because he is more diverse that anybody else mentioned
Despite the fact that Burgess is the only Raider that ever led the NFL in sacks, the Raiders as a team have led the NFL in sacks 5 times (more than any other team) I'd say the Raiders have had some of the best defensive linemen over the last 20 years and the sack wasn't a real stat until 1982

That's what I thought....Your birds are not comparable to my Raiders....Your birds had a few individual standouts, but my Raiders functioned as a unit....Super star double teamed frees underdawg that lets the Raidernation and the rest of the NFL know who he is.

Jevon Kearse has played 31 games for the Eagles and in that time recorded 18.5 sacks. This would average about 9 sacks a year. He has been hurt. It happens. It's not his fault. He can still rush the passer well, when he is healthy.

So you have one HOF who couldn't hold a candle to White. A bunch of "Solid" guys. And a worn out guy you think should have won a popularity contest last year....oh and a guy that the other team didn't want to pay big bucks for because they had younger talent. Do I have it all in a nutshell?
