Ooooookkk.... Not sure where to hegin as you haven't presented an actual arguable item. You asked a question. can anyone stop this Alabama juggernaut
Well the obvious answer would be yes. In fact, while traveling to a road game the state patrol could stop their bus. Or, maybe the team gets stopped at the airport by an overzealous homeland security officer. I mean you never know.
Now, to me, that would be the appropriate response to you above "argument".
HOWEVER.... Since I don't want to be a jerk here, repeat consensus national champions has happened 6 times since 1950. With the last being 1994 which means since the BCS, no one has repeated. And given you gem of an opening, I figure you expect AL to run the table and win the NC.
They face no fewer that 4 tests including the SEC title game and the NC game.
Chances are, some one other than the Louisiana State Patrol will stop them on their way to a title game.
bigbamafan2010 said 10/04, 02:21 AM
i never said they would run the table[somebody may luck up]and catch bama on a off day, although that is about as likely as boise st winning the national championship.you mentioned the louisiana state patrol stopping them, that is about as likely as LSU winning the national championship[as in comparison]i like boise states chances better[0%]chance.you are obviously a bama hater,i will leave you with one thought[rammer jammer yellow hammer-give em hell alabama-we"re gonna beat the hell out of you]

Ok. So if you are saying they are likely to be beat by someone, that what pratfall is your argument?

Auburn and LSU always give bama a tough game. As does Tennessee. And we are playing 4 opponents AFTER their bye week
its possible Bama will lose 1 game but still win the SEC
and if they do, they deserve a BCS title game over an undefeated Boise

SEC homerism at it's worst. Here's a clue, football is played in all 50 states, not just in Mayberry.

At least Arkansas gave Alabama a game, unlike Florida. SEC homerism? You betcha. College football is played in all 50 states. The best college football is played in the SEC. BTW, Mayberry is in North Carolina, that would be ACC.

Mayberry was a fictional town made up for the Andy Griffith show.
Why did Andy Griffith go by Andy Taylor on his show?
I mean if you're not gonna go by your real name at least change the first name too.

A fictional town set in NC, that's ACC not SEC. Good point about the first name. Don Knotts played Barney Fife, totally different name. Guess that's why Don won five Emmy awards on that show and Andy won none.

I don't think so.

Problem there is, they are likely to play Florida again. Were it not for all of those turnovers, yesterday's game would have been extremely close (3 turnovers inside Bama's 5 yard line, Florida had more yardage etc). And Florida doesn't have much left as far as conference schedule. It's hard beating any team twice. Even harder to beat a good team twice. Not saying Bama can't, but it's not easy. Add to that games against Tennessee, LSU, Auburn and South Carolina for Bama and it's not such an easy road.

Sure they would. That's why when Bama offered to play them any time, any place less than a month ago, Boise State refused to even comment on it. A team with the "signature victory" against a Virginia Tech team that has lost to James Madison isn't a team that's going to frighten Bama.
