James Harrison is going to retire? Yeah right! He is going to say goodbye to all the millions and the ability to hit people and vent his agression. Not anytime soon. Yes he didn't like the fine but this is not the way to react to it. He sounds like Cartman sayign he is going to take his ball and go home.
Harrison has been warned before for hitting defenseless players, this isnt his first fine and so it is justified that his fine was more than the other players fines. I may disagree with the overall amount but not that he was fined more.

I don't think James Harrison should grow up. He's already 32 years old. Just kidding.
He has a point though. Obviously he's not going to retire but still. It is an instinct that NFL defensive players especially a notoriously hard hitting Harrison would go for the big hit. But still Harrison should be more careful. Lot of NFL players before were hard hitters. Harrison is just mad because he got into trouble. He will not retire and he shouldn't grow up.

Heck yeah.
Got nothing much to say.
Just that Harrison is back.

Harrison had a childish reaction no matter how you slice it. By making such a big deal over his fine and the threat of suspension he makes himself a bigger target. Did anyone else that was fined this weekend threaten to retire? The answer is no.
This isn't the first time that Harrison has been called a dirty player. Last november in a poll in conducted by SI given to players Harrison was named the dirtiest player in the league by over a 5% margin.
Harrison can whine and cry and make a spectacle of himself all he wants but either way the Steelers, and the league were fine before he came along and they will be fine after he takes his ball and goes home. Keep a close eye on him this week I would give 5-1 odds that he gets ejected from teh Dolphins/Steelers game.

Surprisingly, this is not the dumbest thing to come out of his mouth. I remember his comments a year ago when he won the SB, and he refused an invite to the White house and said the only reason the Steelers were invited to the White House by Obama is because they won and if the Cards had won he would have invited them.

F the Steelers come join the Giants. We never do anything stupid.
Plaxico get the damn gun away from your leg.
All right but in reality I agree with you Sabeeh. James Harrison needs to calm down and play the game like so many players seem to be having a problem with now a day. Your get paid 5 million plus and you quit at the age of 32???? You have another 3-5 years at least in you, don't just make a scene so you can get in the news.

I think he is worried more about GETTING SUSPENDED than getting a fine... and those fines were BS. its a game of football, you hit people. These players put there bodies on the line and in return get millions of dollars.

A couple more of his excuses for not going to the White House were he heard it was in a bad neighborhood and he claimed he was afraid to fly.

No, not at all. Let me ask you slick, are you from Akron, Ohio? Welp I am, no longer live there but keep in touch with folks from my hometown on a regular basis. I know EXACTLY what I'm saying, the same can't be said for you though. Just to prove a point would you like to hear the stories about his family that STILL LIVE IN AKRON runnin' around acting like they own the d*mn place because they are related to Harrison? That fella has been nothing short of a jacka** since his high school days!

I sense a little home town jealousy there Slick! (good one, have not heard slick from anyone since "Welcome back Kotter" left the air). And by the way, with 50 mil to throw around....Hell, he just might own a good portion of Akron!

Trust me no hometown jealousy at all. As a matter of fact I'm not even a fan of the NBA. And Welcome Back Kotter...good one! I forgot about that show. With 50 mil LeBron could own 80 or 90% of my hometown. As far as I'm concerned he can have it all!

You are not allowed to use your helmet as a weapon. If you do so you are in the wrong. Watching Harrison play screams that he is a dirty player. Harrison does not even attempt to wrap his arm around a ball carrier, he almost always tries to smash his helmet into the side of a defenseless player.
