PG Rajon Rondo
SG Dwayne Wade
C Dwight Howard
PF Amare Stoudemire
SF Lebron James..

I agree mostly with the team you have assembled with two differences. PG John Wall, and PF Kevin Garnett.

Now you may scoff and say how can you put a rookie in there? Well the season is young and all we can base this off is the 3-5 games that have been played so far, and those show Wall as a better player than Rondo, or Derrick Rose whom I considered first.

PPG Wall has 23.7 Rondo only 10.3 SPG Wall 4.0 Rondo 2.5 FG% is similar but Wall has the slight edge at .462 to Rondos .425 but the most glaring statisitic is Rondos horrible FT% .500 thats right .500 are you kidding me? This is a point guard this isn't Shaq, or Dwight Howard this is someone who should be handling the ball at the end of the game and instead he will be doing heavy masonry from the charity stripe. Meanwhile Wall will be throwing in .778 of his free throws.

Garnett over Stoudmire because the only thing Stoudmire does better is score on a mediocre team Kevin G outrebounds him, shoots a higher percentage from the free throw line and from the field. All with less fouls per game.

are you serious?

i hope ur not..

John Wall.. exciting rook.. but Rondo was one win from being final's mvp last year bro ham. .

KG over Stoudemire.. sorry .. youth my brother.. youth..

That's great that Rondo had a good year last year but this is about 2010-2011 Season not last year. And the fact of the matter is Rondo is being outplayed by Wall plain and simple the stats show it.

Stoudmire because he is younger? Really? Didn't you just argue that Rondo is better than the exciting rook, because of what he did last year? You invalidate your own arguments.

Your own comment said current, not best players still active because by that token we have to change your list completely that would look somethign like this.

PG Rondo (Because heck he did play good LAST year)
SG T-Mac perrenial all star (Doesnt matter that he is a pine rider now because this year has nothing to do with it right?)
SF Bron bron (Because well he does fill up a stat sheet nicely even if he has never won anything just like T-Mac)
PF Still Garnett (Because career wise Stoudmire can't tough KG)
C Shaq (Duh! Rings, Stats, bad raps he's got Howard beat all across the board)

But hey thoght we were talking the present not the past.

ummm.. do you watch ESPN?

Rondo has more assists in the first 5 games than ANYBODY in nba history homes..

like 90 or something..

Garnett has had a better career of course.. but Stoudemire is more of a beast the days..

look at the #'s..

21.3 ppg, 7.7 rebs, 3.0 assists for Amare this year..

15.6 ppg, 10 rebs, 1.4 assist for the "Big Ticket" this year

Dwight and Amare would be a fun frontcourt

Rondo is the man at the point, just wished he could shoot as good as Rose from the perimeter.

true.. if he had the confidence to stroke the 3 the Celtics would be more lethal than they already are..

I agree with Rondo over Wall. Maybe later on during the season my mind set will change. Yah Rondo can't shoot free throws and he isn't a good with jump shots, but he already this season has set records for most assists. That is something that can never be passed up. Rondo has become one of the most needed players for the Celtic team. I'm a Garnett fan as well but Amire is out playing him so far. So i agree with the left.

HIGH FIVE

Rondo has to be the pick at PG right now. It's so early into Wall's career that it is unfair to both players to compare them right now. Jennings looked like the best rookie by leaps and bounds for the early part of the season last year, but his stock fell considerably. People are going to start keying on what Wall doesn't do great and then we can see how good he is this year.

Stoudemire's stats are better, but he plays for D'Antoni and is usually option number one. Since they get more shots up per game, the Knicks get more chances for both rebounds and assists. Stoudemire might be the better player at this point, but he's not in KG's league defensively. KG defers more in the C's offense with all of the other scorers available. I think that's a toss up.

You can't deny what Rondo is doing right now.

Right has much better arguments, so vote right.

Peach doesn't know how to make an argument last more than 200 characters.
