ALL TIME " I forgot about that guy" TEAM

I did this yesterday, but some jacka ss messed it all up for me......
The idea is to compose a team of good players that are never mentioned in all time great teams. Just guys who were good in there era, but time has forgoten them. No Super stars like Emmit and Barry Sanders......Guys like Craig Heyward and Flipper anderson

QB - Steve DeBerg
QB - Jim Everett
RB - Dalton Hilliard
RB - Barry Word
WR - Al Toon
WR - Quinn Early
WR - Andre Rison
WR - Ernest Givens
TE - Brent Jones
TE - Keith McKeller

Follow my format.......

QB-Steve Bartkowski
QB-Joe Furgeson
RB-George Rogers
RB-Barry Simms
WR-Drew Pearson
WR-Al Toon
WR-Sterling Sharpe
TE-Dave Casper
TE-Ron Francis

How can you have a HOFer on a all time" i forgot about that guy" team?? Casper is in the HOF, so i dont think anyone has forgot him. I like the Bartkowski pick though......

By the way, did you get your name from Bob and Tom??? If ya did, then isnt Donnie Baker the funniest thing in the world?? I swear to God he is.....lol

well cap.........Only an idiot would over look casper when speaking of all time great TE's. Not calling you an idiot, so please dont take it that way. There is a guy at my work who does the same thing.....I call him Furbe. Remember those anoying little toys from the 90's that would repeat what you to said to em???? God i hated em......

But no way is casper on the list, i could even argue that pearson doesnt belong on the list. Anyone who is a starter on 3 SB teams is not under rated. He is rated where he belongs, behind the following players, and maybe more
Rice
Brown
Reed
Harrison
Don.......Hutson, i couldnt remember his name

I think Pearson belongs on the list because he was one of the most clutch players of his era. He was also one of the best of his era. He was just as good as Lynn Swann in my opinion. Yet he isn't even in the HOF, much less the Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Dalton Hilliard and Barry Word were decent players, but not really good players that were forgotten over time. They've been forgotten because they just weren't good enough. Simms and Rogers were 1000 yard backs yet have been forgotten.

Good idea for a TD. I want to hear the rest of the arguments before voting. Go Capt. Obvious! LOL

Osito, how are ya? I hadn't done a TD yet, so I thought what the heck..lol

QB-Don Majikowski
QB- Steve Grogan
RB- Freeman McNeal
RB- Lionel "Little Train" James
WR - Phil McKonkey
WR- Willie Gault
WR- Stephon Paige
TE Cap Boso
TE Pete Metelars
K-Joe Danelo
P Ray Gut

Come on ....thats solid right?

Report Offensive Comment

I like DeBerg, but I don't think Everett would be considered very good or great but was forgotten. I think Bartkowski and Ferguson were very good, just played on some bad teams.

I chose Simms because he's been forgotten due to Barry Sanders. Simms had a lot of talent, and Rogers was a beast.

Drew Pearson in my opinion is one of the most underrated WR's of all time. Very clutch player.

Ron Francis and Dave Casper were great TE's who never get mentioned.

Buffalo, yeah, that is a solid line up.

QB-Heath Shuler
QB-Akili Smith
RB-Ki-Jana Carter
RB-Curtis Enis
WR-Peter Warrick
WR-Charles Rogers

That's just a start. When you remember these guys, you automatically think next year's hall-of-fame ballot.

Report Offensive Comment

LOL!! Most definitely

Report Offensive Comment

Oh and Captain Obvious, my profile icon can out-throw your profile icon.

Report Offensive Comment

are you talking about rb Billy Simms from hooks texas and OU or Barry simms the OT form the raiders

Report Offensive Comment

"Oh and Captain Obvious, my profile icon can out-throw your profile icon.

JZuck | 09/06/07"

Obviously..lol

Bevo, the one from Texas that played for OU

Report Offensive Comment

Sorry Roger, I tried to respond but messed up. Will reply here.

Yes Casper is in the HOF, but when one talks about TE back then, the name Winslow is the only one mentioned. I don't think most people remember Dave Casper.

And no, I got my name from a guy I work with. In every meeting, all he does is summarize what everyone else has said. So I call him CaptainObvious..lol

Report Offensive Comment

How can you forget Andre BAD MOON Rison!?!?

And I'm not so sure that Sterling Sharpe should be on this list. He would be likely as well known as Shannon if he hadn't had that injury.

Report Offensive Comment

I would have gone with Eric Kramer at QB.

Report Offensive Comment

Word and hilliard are 1000 yd backs too.........

Report Offensive Comment

You are a genius. I love this TD

Report Offensive Comment

yYou never hear anyone talk about Ernest Givens.. The guy was AMAZING.

+1 for ROGER Great list!

Report Offensive Comment

I will try to make a team, lol. It will be bad.

QB - Eric Kramer
RB - Robert Smith
RB - Barry Word
WR - Herman Moore
WR - Jermaine Crowell
WR - Al Toon
WR - Andre Rison
TE - Mike Chmura
TE - Brent Jones

Report Offensive Comment

This was a good idea for a TD Roger.

Kramer would have been a good pick.

Report Offensive Comment

Yeah they were, but c'mon. George Rogers was a BEAST with the Saints and the Redskins and he never gets his due. He never gets mentioned at all.

Report Offensive Comment

I think Kramer is the BEST pick, lol.
