VT has been exposed by LSU as being massively overrated and will not win the ACC Coastal let alone the ACC itself

VT was supposed to have one of the best defenses in the league. LSU put up 596 yards and 7.5 yards per play and scored 6 TDs on them. Their offense is a complete joke as well. 147 yards and 2.2 YPP. Granted it is LSU, but their offense didn't look too swell against ECU either.

As Madden would say, Glennon "couldn't hit the water if he fell out of the boat". 20% completion rate and 16 yards, along with 1 INT. Brandon Ore is a complete joke as well, gaining 2 YPC, in addition to to 3 YPC he had against ECU last week.

VT has to play GT and Clemson IN Atlanta and Clemson. They also play BC, Miami, and FSU at home. They will not walk out of those games undefeated. They will come out 3-2 or 2-3. GT has looked destructive in their first two games. They completely dismantled ND's Offense worse than PSU did, and they slaughtered Samford (you don't see many games with 69 points). Their defense has one again earned the name "The Rambling Wreck".

Clemson looked pretty good in holding off FSU.

Quite honestly, if VT's offense doesn't pick it up they don't stand a chance.

They'll finish second or worse in the ACC Coastal.

An overrated team Tech was but granted they were an overrated team walking into a death trap, one of the best home field advantages in the nation, the #2 team and an SEC team was not going to be a succesful trip. I do however think they will win the Coastal division of the ACC. They will go 3-2 in those games but win their other ACC matchups and that will be good enough to go to the ACC Championship game. They have been damn good against ACC teams for a long time and espn since they left the Big EAst

IrishWolverine said it right.

You don't lose 48-7 if you're #9. You don't put up 147 yards on 66 plays if you're #9. You don't get walked all over for damn near 600 yards if you're #9.

That was supposed to be a defensive battle. It wasn't even close. VT hasn't given up that many points since 1996!

Even if VT goes 3-2 in those 5 games that's a conference record of 6-2. If GT beats them look for GT to go at least 6-2 themselves, and finishing ahead of VT to represent the Coastal.

And look at it this way. VT's offense has scored 12 points in two games. Their kicker has 6 and their defense has 6. That's pretty sad.

It doesn't matter if you are #9 or #49 when it comes to winning the ACC, Wake proved that last year. V Tech can handle any team in the ACC and will do so. Boston College looks to be their biggest threat so far. Virginia Tech will beat Ga Tech this season, they have looked good but up against bad teams. V Tech's defense will shut down Choice

VT will beat GT?

Georgia Tech has given up 8.5 points and 181 yards per game. VT has scored 12 per game and gotten 213.5 yards.

VT's defense has been NOWHERE close to what it was last year. Through two games they've surrendered 55 points and 859.

They will go nowhere with that offense of theirs. Branden Ore is showing how overrated he is (the bowl game against Georgia last year should've shown that), as well as Glennon showing how much he sucks.

Even if their defense pulls it together, I believe VT won't be able to win based on how bad their offense is. 12 points by your offense in two games is despicable.

They won't come out of GT/BC/Clemson/FSU/Miami untouched. They're guaranteed two losses, maybe three.

GT will win the Coastal, it's that simple. They have the offense to complement their defense.

I don't think any team that is supposed to be the ninth best in the country should lose that badly.

I don't care who they are playing.

Irish wolv... That is why 2 to 3 wks should be played before any poll comes out. VT is just suspect. The ACC is down and the top 2 by far are Clemson and GT. So much for those Big East teams taking over (Miami/VT/BC)

Well at least they can say they arent the Irish or Woverines. Those 2 truly are awful and even the Notredame broadcasting Channel cant bail them out this time

Hell yeah, NBC didn't even broadcast the ND game in my area. I had to pull some strings with my neighbour to watch it on his satellite.

I don't think it's because VT is as bad as everyone is making them out to be, but rather because LSU is that GOOD - at seemingly every position. I didn't catch the whole game because I was switching back and forth between the USF-Auburn matchup, but from what I saw, the Tigers looked more like a pro team playing in the SEC.

No team has proven to be more overrated this year than Michigan, but coming up at their heals for a gulp of mediocrity at best is the Notre Lame Whirling Dervishes. That being said, ACC is not that great of a conference if V Tech is a candidate to be a part of being in the mix of winning it. They looked more like Virginia today than ever.

Everyone is making excuses for VT. Don't get me wrong, I am an LSU fan but I don't think that Tech played HORRIBLE... but (technically) they are overrated at #9. I read an article just now that said that it wasn't a "fair fight" bc VT's quarterback is inconsistent and their O-Line is injury ridden. What the hell does that even mean? O, my team has had a bad year, but they are still great?? It's not like I am shoving it in their face, all I am saying is they lost, it sucks, and they have work to do. Hopefully they will win their conference...

You may win your conference but Tech could never beat Pitt this year.

Tough to play at LSU.....Tech cant beat Pitt???? Wow, Cassidy......The Panthers havent done much since Walt Harris went to Stanford

I don't think Viginia Tech is that good, myself...

Glennon sucks so bad, Taylor should get the starts from now on.

I agree with Bio for once, go figure. Lol.

Was is just me or was VT exposed the week before when they were having a lot of trouble with East Carolina?

That game was scheduled as an easy win, and there was the back story of the VT shooting so they were supposed to be really fired up to play ECU.

I think that a lot of teams played rusty in the first week. Granted, it was supposed to be emotionally driven and an easy win, but with all of that distraction it's hard to tell the caliber of a team.
