NCAA football team most likely to get upset in Week 3: Louisville. (Either pick a better upset or disagree with this one, not both.)

How 'bout 'em (9-13-0) vs Bevo04 (7-8-0)

After watching the Cardinals play MTSU, UK's offense will roll over the Cardinals. This game should be a shoot-out since the UK defense is not the best either, but the UK D is good enough to provide some room for their offense to get enough points.

UK is good but lets be real here. There are only 3 teams that will give Louisville fits form here on out and they are West Virginia, Rutgers, and South Florida. UK has a good qb but it doesnt take a "good enough" defense to slow Louisville down. It takes a GREAT defense to do that. Brian Brohm is one of the top qbs in the nation and probably the most pro ready and will not let a mediocre defense contain him. Yes their defense looked shaky against MTSU but their offense looked unreal!

You mention those teams like they have great defenses, which they don't. C'mon man, defense left the Big East with VT and Miami.

Sure Louisville has a great offense, but UK has put up big numbers also. Both teams have played weak opponents and put up big offensive numbers. We can compare offensive numbers and have ourselves a pi$$ing contest, or we can compare defensive stats b/c the D will decide this match up.
UK-655 yds and 30 pts allowed.
Louisville-825 yds. and 52pts allowed.

No you are wrong the D will not decide this match up. This match up will be decided on who can outscore the other team and clearly Louisville has the better offense. Louisville is averaging 65.6 points a game!! The reason i mentioned those othher teams were bc they are clearly the three best teams Louisville plays. All three are top 30 teams in the country. 2 of them top 15 teams!! Talk about defense all you want but offense is deciding this game bud!

May I remind people to vote for the best arguments. Bevo didn't pick another team that was more likely to get upset, so that's his fault. I'm arguing why UK will win b/c he didn't choose a better game.

You act like UL is the only team that has a great offense. Chew on these stats: Woodson has 69%completions and Brohm has 68% completions. UK's RB Little has 9.5yd/carry and UL's Allen has 7.9yd/carry. The only reason I bring these stats up is b/c the offenses are about equal in the stats. That's why I brought up defense(that and both teams played 2 cupcakes in their first two games, so offensive stats are pretty much meaningless). Which brings me to my next point:

How can you say that only a great D can beat a great O, then you go to say that only a great O can beat another great O (which UK definitely has)? Get your stuff together buddy.

Let's not forget that this is a rivalry game. Like greatest dads club said, that levels out the competition. UK can smell blood in the water, so they definitely have emotion on their side while UL has hubris on their side w/ a gaudy 65pts./gm.

First off the reason i did not pick another upset bc in your title it says pick another upset or disagree with this one which I have done. By me saying Louisville will not be upset.

And you act as if Kentucky is this power house defense. And when you have two average defenses which both teams are average or below then it turns into a shootout where the better offense will prevail. And the running game stats dont mean anything whne a team hardly runs at all. They put the ball in hands of their best player which is Brian Brohm! A one percent difference is hardly anyhting to be excited about when the other guy puts up more yards and tds.

Attack my argument all you want but Louisville is the better team in this game. DOo I think Louisville will win a natl championship no bc the lack of defense will haunt them but in this case not facing a top notch D this offense will go nuts for the third striaght game and Louisville will be still undefeated after this day!

UW will upset Ohio State

September 10, 2007  03:55 PM ET

Honestly, I think Louisville will win saturday, but they ARE the most likely to lose, because they are OVERRATED.

Remember me How bout em how is the sec the big ten is good. We will have only 3 bcs teams now

September 10, 2007  04:28 PM ET

this shows the dumbness of the voters on this site, bevo puts rutgers into the mix, like they are better than ky, also noone has taken into acct the fact that its an in state rivalry, which tends to level the competition, and as level as the comp has been thus far this yr thatll mean a lot

Ill take KY to win it in a shootout

Would Alabama over Arkansas be considered an upset? Cause I don't see Arky beating Bama at Bryant-Denny.

September 10, 2007  05:39 PM ET

Defense wins ball games. If you can't score against somebody's defense, your offense is meaningless. I expect a Louisville win, but I like How bout ems argument.

As a Buckeye fan, I am very nervous about this week's game at Washington. First road start for Boeckman (along with many of the younger guys.) How will he bounce back after the poor game against Akron? The defense was great, but the offense has to improve and stop turning the ball over or the Buckeyes WILL lose to Washington. Washington looked very strong and improved against BSU. I think we will win, but I would not be surprised at all if Washington pulls off the upset.

September 10, 2007  05:49 PM ET

The Ville wins if the score 45 pts. Defense will improve and Kentuck y has a lot of pressure to win this game....if they start making mistakes it could snowball into a blow-out for the Ville...

Upset special anyone who wins the Michigan ND game, both teams suck!

Ohio State against UW

September 10, 2007  08:01 PM ET

Yeah, I gotta say that Washington looks impressive. Gave Wisconsin a good run for their money for the 1st half of the game during week 1 and beat up everyone's Cinderalla team, Boise State.

September 10, 2007  08:06 PM ET

I see a lot of "UW will beat OSU" picks. I don't see that happening b/c OSU is still a decent team. They just haven't put up gaudy stats like Louisville b/c Tressel is an old fashioned coach. Sure the Akron game was a scare, but OSU came alive in the second half like a well-coached team should. Washington did beat a good BSU team, but BSU is still a non-BCS team with a fairly new coach and QB. I was thinking about this game tho; those are the reasons why I didn't select it.

I'll get to your comments now:
--Notre Dame + UAB = TINT- I have no idea what you're saying. The Big 10 looks anything but solid right now. Michigan...nuff said about that, and Wisconsin should'be beat UNLV by more than one score. OSU looked shaky against Akron, and Penn St. looks like the most solid team (then again, PSU has only played FIU and ND and have Buffalo next, wowsers!)
--Right on Greatest Dads Club, bevo says that a great D can only beat a great O, then he lists some teams that have no D. Riiiiiiight.
--Guthrie-is-the-future- I was seriously considering picking Maryland b/c they are better this year and WVU struggled against Marshall.
--Crimson-Star- That was another game that I was considering picking b/c Arkansas is ranked and Bama isn't. I didn't pick that game b/c Arkansas has had two weeks to prepare and Saban is still establishing his blitzing D. Bama D w/ Saban's schemes are going to be a force to be reckonned with...eventually.
--Thanks ChiefOsceola. I think my arguments are better too, but of course I would say that.

Just so ya know PackBrew42, Washington State played Wisconsin in week 1.

Ohio State against UW

September 10, 2007  09:07 PM ET

sorry let me clarify that Ohio STate will upset the UW because as everyone knows the Big Ten sucks goats
haha its funny because its true

September 10, 2007  09:54 PM ET

heh, you should talk to Notre Dame + UAB = TINT; I lost in a throwdown against him b/c he was arguing that the Big10 was better than the SEC. I guess that goes to show the average intelligence of TD voters.
