One More time. Who will win more games the Detroit Lions or the Michagan Wolverines?

Imma go Michagan. Unless this teams just completely hits seniorits I can only see them getting better. I know its hard to call them Gimmes but looking at the schedule they should have at least 6 W's. Offensively Michagan is WAY better than Notre so they should be able to sneak out a win. So If they competely choke away any hope at a Big Ten Title they should be good for 7 wins. I mean...They are still a talented team. Oregon was a really good team and Appachian State completely caught them off guard. I think they are good for 8 wins with one upset over the Badgers, Nittanay Lions or Buckeyes. None of those teams really impressed me over the past few weaks.

The Lions are still the Lions and still have problems defensively. They let off 21 points to the worst offense of all time who lost their best offensively player. That offense will be improved but they will be giving up a lot of points this season. Their Division still looks better than them. I think they win 6 or 7 tops. I got

Wolverines: 8
Lions: 7

I think you're correct with the Lions winning 7 games but Michigan will win 6 games at the most the only games that I think the maize and blue are gong to win are against Northwestern, Eastern Michigan, Purdue, Minnesota, and maybe Notre Dame and Purdue

I said before that Offense can score but in the long run they still need an effective running game and some sorta defense. When Josh McCown is throwing for 313 yards you are going to have some serious problems. That offense will improve them by 4 games and thats it.

Their was a reason Michagan was ranked number 5. I know it has looked awful but for some reason someone said, "this team looks good." Now the Big-Ten is Superbad at the moment. Ohio State had troubles against Akron and Wisconsin was losing to UNLV.

Penn State and Ohio State are both at home. I say they beat Penn State which they have done over the past 7 seasons. Their road schedule has Northwestern(terrible), illinois(2 wins last season), Michagan State(not good) and Wisconsin(I think overrated but I will give Michagan the loss)

Also Michagan has a solid running game to beat up on the cakes in the Big-Ten. I say they go 8 straight and lose thier final 2. THier had to be a reason they were ranked so high.

Also Notre Dame is terrible offensively. They may not put up 15 offensive touchdowns this year. No way Jimmy Clausen comes in the Big House and leaves with a win.

youre right with the lions poor defense, but mike martz is the offensive coordinator and looked what he did with the st. louis rams, and the lions have more reciever depth than the rams ever had while martz was in st. louis, and tatum bell and kevin jones will come around to be a formidable rushing attak, as for michingan they will lose to psu, osu, illinois (offense is just like appalachain and oregon) wisconsin and mark dantonio will have msu ready for a showdown with big blue

illinois?!? They won 2 games last season. They couldn't even beat Northwestern last season. I don't care what offense they run, they are terrible team.

Are yout talking about the same MSU that lost to Michagan 31-13 last season? The same MSU that won 1 Big Ten game a season ago?

O yeah and that "and the lions have more reciever depth than the rams ever had while martz was in st. louis" is the dumbest comment i have heard in a while. Torry Holt and Isaac Bruse are HOFer. If you throw in Marshall Faulk(In his prime always 80 catches) you have a insane Recieving core. If you throw in the Running Game and the offensive line that Rams team was 5 times better on offense than anything the Lions can do this season. The Lions are still the Lions. High powered passing attack with no defense or running game. They are going to stuggle.

The Wolverine still have all sorts of weapons on offense. Mike Hart is the 2nd best running back in teh Big Ten. Not a lot D's will stop him. They will run on some teams and get back to being Michagan. The Big Ten still is the most Overrated Confernce in the NCAA. They will beat 1 of the big 3 and everyone else. 8 wins.

yeah are we also talking about a michigan team that lost to appalachian state and ranks at the bottom of nearly every major statistical category including the important one, wins, ahh thats right we are and have you compared illinois offense to oregons and app state, hmm spread offense check and fast athletic quarterback, check, the same things that have torched michigan since lloyd carr has been there, and i said the lions had more depth, not talent, and as it stands now the lions have 1 and michigan, ahh thats right 0

Lions will win seven, Michigan will win nine, eight at the very least. Their first two opponents have been quality (check the rankings, App St. is like number 29).

Detroit might win anywhere between four and five games; no more than that. Michigan, I think, still has chance (a remote one) at the Big Ten Title. The Big 10 looks stinky this year, anyways those teams always play each other tough. Michigan will still win 8 or 9 games.

Lions will finish 2nd in the North with 8 wins

Lions will be lucky to win 6 games, they will compete with the Vikes for 3rd in the North.
Michigan might win 7, no more than that, unless they can pull something out of their behind real quick.

Detroit fans, the Pistons begin their season on November 1. In three or four weeks, I'm sure you'll be counting down the days.

Michigan is going to beat Purdue twice?

I'm not gonna vote because I want to see how Michigan does against ND and Penn St. If they manage to beat both, I can see them winning 8-10 games but right now I'd think they'd lose to PSU and probably going 7-5 or 8-4.....maybe 9-3....who knows with Michigan anymore.
