I say the Red sox because a line up with ortiz, gonzalaz, crawford, youk, pedroia, drew, and elsbury will win.Not to mention thier rotation of Beckett, lester, lackey, bucholz, matsuzaka.
Tigers was a tough pick but they have ordonez, cabrera, martinez, and a bunch of other fine players.
thier rotation is ok but with verlander it will work some how.
Rangers because they have hamilton, beltre, cruz, kinsler, and young will get you a lot of runs. With wilson, lewis, hunter, and a guy who wants to bounch back named webb.
The athletics are a close call but they do have crisp, willingham, dejesus, kousmanoff, matsui, and suzuki. but more impressive is their young pitching staff of braden , anderson, gonzalez, and cahill.

Thanks but not really needed since I agreed with you on the Red Sox.
"Tigers was a tough pick but they have ordonez, cabrera, martinez, and a bunch of other fine players."
The Twins are a proven team. They re-tool better than almost any other team in MLB. They finished 13 games ahead of the Tigers and I do not feel like Detroit has improved enough to leapfrog the Sox or the Twins.
Verlander and Scherzer are their only consistent pitchers in the rotation. The 3-5 spots in the rotation are not very good.
The Twins have Morneau and Mauer. A better dup than Detroit has. I expect both to rebound to their previous form. Delmon Young and Jason Kubel add more firepower to the Minnesota lineup.
The Twins pitching is better as well. Liriano, Pavano and Duensing give them a nice trio. Until they get their injured pitchers back.
The Rangers? They had a really nice storybook season but I think the loss of Lee hurts them more than Texas fans want to admit. More to come on them.

I do understand the Twins do have some good hitters and defenders. That is why I said it is a hard decision. But it is not for sure the Twins get Pavano. It is obvious the Rangers will compete. the Angles are out of the race for me because they didnt get beltre. Even worse for them is the rangers did.The Athletics will not have to play the red sox a lot but the yankees do.

The Nats or Twins will get Pavano and the Nats are not about to pay for him. The Twins need him.
"It is obvious the Rangers will compete. the Angles are out of the race for me because they didnt get beltre."
Kendry Morales missed 111 games last season. He is a huge part of their offense.
The Angels have one of the better rotations in baseball.
Jared Weaver, 13-12, 3.01 ERA, 1.07 WHIP with 233 K's
Dan Haren, 5-4, 2.87 ERA, 1.16 WHIP with 77 K's in just 94 IP
Joel Pineiro, 10-7, 3.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP
Ervin Santana, 17-10, 3.92 ERA, 1.32 WHIP with 169 K's
Scott Kazmir, 9-15, 5.94 ERA, 1.58 WHIP
They will have Haren for a full season after trading for him last season. Andthe Angels 4.04 team ERA ranked 6th in the AL. It will be even better this season.
That is why they will ultimately win the West....
"The Athletics will not have to play the red sox a lot but the yankees do."
Okaaay. The A's do have to play the Angels and Rangers. Their main competition for the AL West title.
