While David Garrard isn't great, he isn't that bad either. The season he had wasn't bad, with 23 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, a 64.5 completion percentage and 7.47 yards per attempt.

The Jaguars have a horrible pass rush, having only 26 sacks on the season. Tampa Bay was tied with them at 26, and the only team with fewer are the Denver Broncos.

The Jaguars need to select JJ Watt, DE/DT out of Wisconsin.

JJ Watt is a complete beast on the defensive line. He's had a great season with the Badgers and was a huge part for the Badgers in their great season.

As a defensive lineman, he had 7 passes broken up, 10 quarterback hurries, 3 forced fumbles and 3 kicks/punts blocked on the season. He even had 10 sacks last season, proving that he's a force not to be reckoned with.

He had 20.5 tackles for a loss, and was able to contain the run really well, something Jacksonville needs to work on.

Jacksonville has bigger problems than just a quarterback right now, especially when their quarterback isn't that bad, and only had a little over 350 attempts. If the Jaguars passed more, their passing attack wouldn't be as bad.

You know why they wanted to get Tim Tebow? Because he was popular there, and had such great success with the Florida Gators. It wasn't because Garrard sucks.

What type of talent does Garrard have around him? Besides Sims-Walker, the WR core isn't good. The defense isn't good either.

Quarterbacks getting drafted into the NFL are a much bigger risk than defensive linemen.

He's not an elite level QB, but before you start worrying about not having an elite level quarterback, why don't you spruce up the defense? You know, help get that pass rush better than what the slop they are producing currently?

Instead of worrying about replacing a QB that isn't that bad, why not replace an area of NEED? His career stats aren't even that bad, and he doesn't turn the ball over like other quarterbacks in the league

When you have positions that you need to fulfill, why not do those?

Watt was the stronghold of the defense for the Badgers this season. The Jaguars need someone on that defensive line.

So if you're going to see what Garrard can do on his "last leg", what happens if he does really well? Does Mallett just get casted aside?

Get a position of NEED, a DL man.

While the Jaguars' passing offense didn't rank that good, the pass rush ranked even worse in the NFL and was just pure embarassing. They need a big pass rusher and big defensive force on the defensive line in JJ Watt, and they'll be good.

Garrard is accurate, completing 64.5 of his pases, which is basically the same as Mallett. Garrard is above Matt Ryan, Flacco, Vick, Eli Manning in completion percentage.

Garrard is above Peyton Manning and Drew Brees in yards per attempt as well. Peyton Manning had more interceptions than Garrard this season as well. So did Drew Brees.

So is Garrard really that bad?

Look at that, then look at where the pass rush of the Jaguars' ranked. Look at where their rushing defense ranked. It just isn't good.

No one had over 100 tackles on their team, no one had more than 5 sacks on their team and no one had more than 5 tackles for a loss.

Rushing defense from Jacksonville? 22nd. Not good. They allowed 4.7 yards per carry!

They had 26 sacks this season. Buffalo had more! They need help in the pass rush BADLY and they need help in the rush defense BADLY.

Wait on the QB, grab JJ Watt in round 1! They need Watt more.
