1. I will not hold Nash's "Canadianism" against him. After all, Pam Anderson is also Canadian
2. Though championships should play SOME role in this, I will not make Nash's lack of rings the main point.
Since both started in '96..lets look at stats
While Nash has some slightly higher % (ft, 3pt, etc) and more assists,...KOBE dominated in most career categories.
-has appx 100 less turnovers
-5x led league in scoring
SN-7 (and remember...they both began in 1996)
AllNBA 1st Team
and the defense...the biggest difference
Kobe is 8x all defense team member
Kobe is 9th alltime in points scored.
Again...Nash is the better passer.....but if we are evaluating the TOTAL PACKAGE
Kobe's FAR superior defense (compared to Nash) puts him ahead
If we're looking at scoring/passing/defense....Kobe wins 2 out of the 3
ergo....in the post Jordan era, Kobe > Nash
