An AFC team will win the Super Bowl this year. I'll go through each division and break it down.

AFC East - The Patriots are always dangerous, and even more dangerous this year. The addition of Moss boosts a receiving corps that overahieved last year. The Jets made great strides last year, and they may be even better this year, but will not be able to take the division from the Patriots.
AFC North - The Ravens were the second seed in the playoffs last year, while the Bengals have a very dangerous offense and the Steelers have a chance to sneak into the playoffs.
AFC South - Obviously, the Colts are in this division so they are almost a lock to get back into the playoffs. The Titans came on strong at the end of last year and are looking at the playoffs, while the Jaguars will probly be on the outside looking in.
AFC West - The Chargers were the best team in football last year while the Broncos had a good offseason and the Chiefs made the playoffs last year.

The NFC has no one. The only real threat is the Bears, and they lost Thomas Jones and are losing Briggs. The other three divisions are weak, so it seems the Bears will dominate, but fall short in the Super Bowl.

Let me go through the divisions. NFC east: the cowboys last year got rid of Drew Bledsoe and put in tony Romo who was a very good QB for the team. The cowboys made the playoffs but a mistake cost them the game at the end of the game if it neve happened the cowboys could have been the next super bowl champions. The eagles made into the second round with a backup QB. The giants made the playoffs last year and they had good draft this year too. NFC north: preety weak division besides the bears.

Romo was a good quarterback for the Cowboys, but he does not deserve the "very" title yet. He choked in the playoffs. He could not lead a superior Cowboys team past the Seahawks in the Wild-Card Round. Even if the Cowboys won, they would have had to get past the Bears or the Saints or the Eagles or the Giants theoretically. There was not that good of a chance they could have gotten past any of the other teams. Yes, Jeff Garcia was a pleasent surprise for the Eagles, and as much as I like the team, there was not that good of a chance of them winning the Super Bowl. The Giants have some of the worst chemistry in the league. None of them can get along. Eli has stalled and it???s only a matter of time before that team implodes. The Bears are the best in the North, even though the Packers could sneak into the playoffs. The Saints still have a shot and maybe the Panthers, but there is not anyone else.

OK let me countine going through the divisions until i ran out of space. NFC south; Atlanta has a good qb in vick and Jerious Norwood was a good rb for the falcons. The panthers got Jeff garcia who is a good Qb they also have Julis Peepers who is a great DE and they HAve Steve Smith. The saints made it to the championshp game in the playoffs. they have Drew brees and bush and duce. they also have a good o-line. and there d is not bad.

You keep mentioning 3 or 4 on the offense of teams. A lot of the defenses are aging like the Panthers. No one know what Vick is going to do. He could lead them to the playoffs or just not even show up. All these teams are pretty good, and probably make the playoffs, but none of them will win the Super Bowl.

Look at the ravens and patriots both defenses are getting really old. Ray lewis is not getting any yonger. the afc only has the pats and the colts who are the only teams that the afc has that will make the super bowl. The colts lost alot of pepole in free agency the pats gained alot of pepole like randy moss who might hurt the team more than help the team.

I agree with dgal but you forgot to mention the Saints, who will probably be better than the Bears this season.

I'd doubt the Saints being better than the Bears but who knows. I haven't been following the offseason as well as I should be.

Yeah those are really good points in the last argument. I'm from Baltimore, and personally, I can't wait to see Ray Lewis retire. But having to watch that team every week, that defense is good.
