This game is a pick-em in the spreads, but it's going to get ugly for the Giants. Ugly, and fast.

Last week the Giants' secondary made Tomo Romo look like superman. Is there any doubt Brett Favre will do much of the same? Look for him to have a huge game against these guys. On the other side of the ball. the Green Bay defense will probably pay more attention to stopping Plaxico Burress than the 'boys did. With him covered, look for Eli to have a lot of trouble against a young and improving Packer D.

That is, if Eli even plays. His shoulder injury is surely worse than he wants to admit, and if he can't throw a deep ball, this game will be over before it starts. If Lorenzen plays, well, maybe they should just stick to running the ball.

Of course, the running game raises more questions. Will Brandon Jacobs play? Can Derrick Ward handle starting? Too many questions for the Giants in this one. Take the Pack, by a lot.

I disagree. The Giant's last game was a shootout. The state of their defense (sub-par defensive backs to begin with, and now pass rush issues with Osi U having knee troubles) leads me to believe this game will go the same way.

The difference is, New York has taken some hits on offense as well. Jacobs may not play. Eli may not play. If Eli does play with a bum shoulder, don't expect him to throw for 4 tds again. They will not be able to keep up with the Packers in this one.

If Lorenzen ends up having to start, there's no way he'll be able to carry the offense. The Packers have a solid defense; they will shut down Lorenzen, and they can handle an injured Eli and a backup running back.

I expect the Packers to score pretty much at will. Trailing, Eli will try to make some tight throws and he won't have the arm strength to make them this week. That spells trouble. Pack wins big.
