just because you happen to be the starting qb on a team that wins 3 superbowls does not mean ur a hall of famer. the same can be said about any position. look other qbs that have won 3 superbowls troy aikman, tom brady, joe montana they not only have the rings and the wins but also the stats. it takes all 3 to be a hall of fame qb not just one or the other. even terry bradshaw who was criticized his entire career fro having an erratic arm had the stats when it mattered most. in his entire career he only passed for more than 300 yards in a game only seven times, but three of those performances came in the post-season, and two of those in Super Bowls. In four career Super Bowl appearances he passed for 932 yards and 9 touchdowns, both Super Bowl records at the time of his retirement. So far big ben has thrown 1 TD and 3 INT is superbowls. How does that compare to any other qb that has won 3 or more titles?

Ben Roethlisberger is a winner
Maybe.. but hey, he's got experience.. He's pretty young.. what 27?
I mean.. this isn't the last ride..
I'm not a big fan of what Roethlisberger's done or just a fan of the Steelers.. ONe thing we all know.. Roethlisberger is GOOD
I've never seen a qb like Roethlisberger .. he moves so slow but has good presence and feet .. He's tall.. not that fast.. can get away from the opponent with his feel or lay one on 'em with a laser strike..
Hey, Roethlisberger has gotten plenty wins from his defense but at the same time they wouldn't have won as many games without him.. He said earlier this week," i won't win any mvp's or statistical awards".. I mean. Roethlisberger is on his way to the hall of fame.. He doesn't have to do too much more..
STats mean alot but so do win %'s in the nfl playoffs..
mtc.. i can post again LOL

Good for him he has a high win percentage in the playoffs so does willie mcgintest tedy bruschi and kevin faulk they all have high win percentages in the playoffs as well as 3 rings and there still not making it into the hall why? because they dont have the stats to back them up.
He's been ranked in the top 10 in passing or touchdowns only twice in his career, and despite his high completion percentage he's only been in the top 10 of the category four times in his career and never higher than fourth overall. In the same time period Roethlisberger has been sacked 274 times in his career, and has lost an incredible 1,821 yards on those plays. Roethlisberger has been among the five most sacked quarterbacks in the NFL every year from 2006 to 2009. He's also fumbled the ball 45 times, including an NFL-high 14 times in 2008.
When he is to be considered for induction into the Hall of Fame he is gonna be compared to other qbs of his era and unfortunately for him hes not in the same tier as brady or manning.
Roethlisberger also hasn't exactly been an angel off the field. He hasn't done himself any favors with his off-field behavior and that will only further hurt his candidacy.

Roethlisberger has been to the big game more than Peyton..
Roethlisberger is a unique quarterback..
have you ever seen a guy that big get out of trouble when pressured?
Have you ever seen a guy with more will to win?
Have you ever seen a guy who can conquer adversity like Big Ben?
Hey, i'm not here to have a man crush post on Big Ben..
like i stated..Stats are not everything..
Who threw that pass to SAntonio HOlmes?
Who has been the quarterback for the Pittsburgh's steelers lastest run?
Who is underrated?

your right he is good im not arguing against that what im saying is you can add up all that he is NOW and it still doesnt = hall of famer. it takes wins stats longevity and consistency to be a hall of famer its way to early to even consider giving roethlisberger that dinstinction. if anything big ben proves that you can win 3 superbowls starting at such an important position and not be an elite passer and that in the nfl defense really does win championships not just qb driven teams.
The steelers franchise has been built on defense and players like Troy Polamalu and James Harrison and Pittsburgh succeeds by shutting down their opponent, not outscoring them in shootouts. Maybe Roethlisberger wouldn't have so many comeback wins if he had just played better earlier in the game.
this guy has thrown for double digit picks in every season hes played except 2 and in one of those 2 seasons he threw 9. i dont care how many rings u have if u werent an elite passer of ur era then you shouldnt be a hall of fame qb.
if it was just about rings then deion branch would be a hall of fame wide reciever.
PCH said 02/05, 06:51 PM
you agreed with me that he's "good" (Roethlisberger)
then you say "Deion Branch would be in the hall of fame", given Big Ben's situation?
144 td's, 86 int's
22,502 yards passing..
14 rush td's..
he's only 28 years old..
if he wins tommorow he'll have 3 rings..
QB takes a lot of responsibility on title runs.. this guy is no Trent Dilfer
