The muscular Bulldog with wide shoulders , wide-set eyes , a wrinkled face , distinctive pushed-in nose , known for being a little stubborn , and a fighter . Bull dogs were train to seize a bull by it's nose long enough for a rope to be secured around it's neck . The bulldogs typical means of attack included latching onto the snout of their opponent and attempting to suffocate it . Defense

The wolf-like Huskie , tall , thick fur coat , erect triangular ears , almond shaped eyes , active , energetic , and came from the cold . They tend to run because they were first bred to be sled dogs who are active and energetic . Highly intelligent but if not given enough mental and physical excercise can be destructive . They get bored very easily and may stop listening to commands . Uptempo

That's a short description of the mascots for both teams and my opinion of their style of play on the court .

Monday night I'm picking David the Butler Bulldogs to slew Goliath the Uconn Huskies to win the NCAA college basketball championship .

I'm going with the Butler Bulldogs !
You like all the rest of the talking heads Hubert Davis , Digger Phelps and Dick Vitales of the world are going with one of the best teams money can buy.

Uconn is no different than the rest of the college programs that cheat by paying for players , having smart students to take test so the Derrick Rose's of the world can play , and making illegal contact by phone, to lure kids to their cheating programs like Umass , Memphis , and Kentucky coached Calapari teams , and other programs .

Anybody that follows college basketball knows the cheats.

But I'm taking a small school that believes in academics , high standards , with a brilliant young coach and they don't cheat . They may not get the high priced "Blue Chip" players who play for pay to come to Butler and play in the hot bed of basketball Indiana.

Defense , hustle , and composure will be the keys to victory for Butler. A great strategy to cause Uconn to turn the ball over and make mistakes.

This is a hungry, deeper Butler team with the experience from last year along with a great young coach .

One man cannot beat a Butler coached team and Uconn will lose.

It's not an angle it's a fact Uconn's program has commited NCAA rules violations .

My pick is based on the play of the Bulldogs .

Their bench is deep , they hustle after the ball for every rebound , they play tenacious defense , they were there last year , and just the experience of being on the big stage is not new to them .

I predict they will protect the ball , will have less turnovers , take high percentage shots , will get Uconn in foul trouble , make their freethrows with the exception of Nored , and Stevens will out fox Calhoun .

Butler does not count on 2.5 men to win games they counted on TEAM to get to where they are today .
One or two players can have a bad game and it will have a negative affect on the team and the coach .
The bulldogs will cover Lamb and Walker like a Kenny Smith JC Penny suit .

Just because teams cheat doesn't mean they win championships and the heart of real fans.

Coach K , Dean Smith , and Bobby Knight didn't have to do it .

Americans love the under dog and the Bulldogs will play under controls , and smart to win as a TEAM on Monday , and not as your 2.5 men .
