Kemba Walker should return to UConn for his senior season becasue he's the team captain. All of his teammates listen to him and respect him. Kemba would also have the chance to lead UConn to back-to-back national championship (first time since Florida did in 2006 and 2007). Kemba knows that he will be a top NBA Draft pickif he returns for his senior season at UConn or declares for the NBA Draft.

GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY SON!

NBA IS A NO-BRAINER.

HE'S OBVIOUSLY GOT THE TALENT, NOW IT'S TIME TO PULL IN SOME GREEN!

MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND RIGHT? WELL IT DOESNT CHANGE NI THE MINDS OF THE COLLEGIATE ATHLETES.

FORGET ALL THE ISSUES OFF THE COURT THAT UCONN IS GOING THRU, LEAVE AND GO PLAY WITHT THE BEST BALLERS IN THE WORLD AND GET PAID TO DO IT.

WON'T HAVE TO RISK INJURING HIMSELF DURING HIS SENIOR YEAR.

NBADRAFT.NET HAS HIM AT 18 ON THE POWER RANKINGS. THAT PUTS HIM RIGHT IN LINE TO GET PICKED UP FOR A POTENTIAL PLAYOFF TEAM.

POSSIBLE BACK TO BACK NCAA TITLE WITH RISK TO INJURY WITHOUT A PAY DAY?
-OR-
POSSIBLE TITLE CONTENDER IN THE LATE 1ST ROUND AND SOME SERIOUS CASH?

BE REAL...

Right now Kemba Walker is projected to be a second round pick. With players such as Jeremy Lamb, Tyler Olander, Alex Oriakhi, and Roscoe Smith, Kemba Walker would probably have a great chance to up his assist per game number from 4.5 APG last season as a junior. If Kemba does return to UConn for his senior season he would also have a great chance to increase his scoring numbers from 23.6 as a junior and probably move to a projected first round pick.

Forfeited Turn

If Kemba Walker doesn't return to UConn for his senior season I think it will hurt his draft stock becasue he won't have the cahnce to improve on his numbers from this season. But, if Kemba does return and have a STELLAR season and put up GREAT numbers I think his draft stock will certainly rise from a projected second round draft pick to a projected first round draft pick.

Yikes, missed arguement.... getting docked with CAPS LOCK....

I guess I was hoping my one arguement would hold me down but oh well...

Let me get this straight,

I get docked for caps (which i wasn't yelling), nor did i call left "son", but nobody seemed to mention how crappy it is to read a TD that is not spaced out between ideas but yet all thrown together like one big charlie foxtrot?

Nice FN, real nice...

Go Pro Kemba, need to put money in the bank and take care of the fam....

Was gonna auto-vote right until I saw your argument was in ALL CAPS. I can't stand it, sorry.

this.

Kemba should stay and have a good shot at another championship, he will be too small to be a starting SG.

Good start by both. Will wait for final arguments before I vote.....

I think go pro. He would be a good spark plug player off the bench for a title contender. He's a score first PG like Rodney Stuckey. Plus his draft status could get worse if he doesn't repeat or have the same type of season that he had this year. And the fact that UNC is returning quite a few players spells trouble for UCONN's chance of a repeat.

Hmmm... I'm torn. I agree that returning to school is a smart choice, but it isn't totally necessary. I also think left is crazy saying Walker is a 2nd rounder...he is going in the lottery. But then right has to bust out all caps, and called left "son" which is just no bueno....hmmmm....

I need a set of ear plugs.

me too

Walker's going in the top 10. The only knock on him is his size. another year isnt going to change that

April 18, 2011  08:03 PM ET

He's played three years, won the national title, MVP awards, and will be a lottery pick. It's time for him to move on.

Walker's stock can only go down from here.

He had a magical run, and even though I am a Cuse fan living in CT (so really hate UCONN), I have defended this team and its well earned title. That said, I don't think they are positioned well to win it again next year. Can they? Sure. But it would be just as unlikely as this years run. At what point this year did you think they had a good chance? Before the season..no.. After the regular season when they finished 9th in the Big East? no After the OT in over SU? How many games did UCONN win by less than 5 pts? They won those games and that is all that matters, however, you have to agree a few of those games could go either way. The fact that this team did not just flat out run out of steam during their epic 11 game win streak to end the season is a freak of nature story. Then add in the streaky body of work before the win streak and it makes it more surprising.

The best teams do not always win, and UCONN is/was not the best team in CBB this year. They did, however, win all the games that mattered.

Big fan of Walker but I don't think his game will translate to the NBA. With that said he should absolutely go now. He graduated [without reading a book] and the draft is weak this year. Because of the pending labor issues some of the better players are staying and wasn't a great draft to begin with. He should go.

Kemba needs to stay in school and finish his degree. Basketball won't last forever...

He has his degree.

Exactly. He needs to move on instead of enrolling in a masters program.

April 19, 2011  01:14 PM ET

They wouldn't win next year, probably. Can't discount another run though.

North Carolina looks to be the early favorite.....

April 19, 2011  01:17 PM ET

Doesn't matter: he's going to be a bust.

Oh...I didn't know that. :(

Is he planning on becoming a doctor or professor or an attorney or something that requires graduate school? If so, than he should stay in school. I reiterate that basketball won't last forever.
