Yes, he is.
Ravens fans and NFL fans on here think the guy is actually good and a Top 10 QB. I say no. He is way overrated.
His stats in the regular season?
62.6% (11th)
226ypg (17th)
7.4ypa (11th)
25 TD's (tied for 10th)
10 INT's
40 sacks (2nd most)
93.6 Passer Rating (7th)
Not bad, not great. Mediocre except for the Passer Rating.
However lets look at the more important numbers when it counts.
4-3 in the postseason despite having a great defense.
53.3%, 150ypg, 5.7ypa, 4 TD's to 7 INT's with a 61.6 Passer Rating
1 playoff game with over 189 yards and 1 game with over 57.1 completion %.
He is not the most accurate QB despite having a cannon for an arm and he is not the most mobile QB
BRING THE PAIN!!!!

The correct answers in NO.
I think he belongs is the top 10. The only QB's I would put ahead of him are:
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Philip Rivers
Matt Schaub
Ben Roethlisberger
Mike Vick
Matt Ryan(maybe)
The thing here is all the players above have a go to WR or a very good WR corp. And you also have to put in your mind that the Ravens are a running team. They pretty much ran the ball half the time last season.
You can only put so much of the sacks on the QB. His WR corp is overrated and old. Anquan Boldin was only very good in Arizona because he played opposite of Fitzgerald. Derrick Mason is old and Houshmandzadeh hasn't been good for about 3 years now. Heap is and good TE and Rice is a good option out of the backfield. But none of these guys are players that stretch the field. Put Flacco on the Jets and we could argue that he is easily a top 10 QB.
There are 2 QB's who could possibly push Flacco for a top 10 spot and that's Sam Bradford and Matthew Stafford(if they can stay healthy).
IMO, Matt Ryan are pretty equal. Ryan gets to play with a great running game and has good receiving corp with White, Jenkins, Gonzalez and Snelling.

Whaaaat? Boldin had 1 season in Baltimore learning to play with Flacco and a new offense.
He managed to catch 64 catch passes for 837 yards (13.1ypc) with 7 TD's.
Mason caught 61 passes for 802 yards (13.1ypc) with 7 TD's
Not great but not bad at all.
And we all know Flacco is not the most accurate QB. So if they had Tom Brady or Peyton Manning throwing them the ball?
They both would have had at least 80-90 catches each. Boldin did it with Kurt Warner throwing the ball to him in Arizona.
"Derrick Mason is old and Houshmandzadeh hasn't been good for about 3 years now."
TJ had 30 catches for 398 yards (13.3ypc) with 3 TD's in PT duty. He had 79 catches in Seattle in 2009 but he did not start last year.
Heap caught 40 passes for 599 yards (15.0ypc) with 5 TD's.
15.0ypc is excellent for a TE, Woodee.
Ryan is a better QB than Flacco.

Those aren't great #'s for a #1 WR. He was 30th in the NFL in receiving yards. 7 TD's is pretty good but how can you actually think Boldin is a legit #1 WR? And of course those guys would have better stats if they were catching passes from Manning and Brady, they are 2 of the best to ever play the game.
Heap is a good TE but he is no, Gates, Clark, Gonzalez or Witten. I'm not saying Flacco's WR corp is terrible, I just said they are overrated. They have the big name players that just aren't that good anymore. Another reason why these guys are able to get decent YPC is because of the Ravens running threat. They have one of the best backs in the league who is multi-dimensional. This causes defenses to play one on one coverage. I mean your "#1" WR had 1 more reception than your RB.
His correct stats are:
62.6%(10th)
7.4 ypa(9th)
10 INT(11th)
His stats would average him in the top 10 I'm sure.
As for Matt Ryan, he is a good QB but he is a short yardage QB. He has a lower Comp% and QB rating. And tossed 80 more yards on 82 more attempts with one of the top WR's in the league.

Ever stop to think Boldin and Mason did not post good numbers because of Flacco?
Boldin did not suddenly get worse.
He is just 30 and he had 84 catches (in 18 more passes thrown his way) during the 2009 season with Arizona. Just 4 TD's though.
He had 3 TD's more this past season with the Ravens.
So he did not get worse.
I do think his QB was not as accurate as the one he had in the desert.
11th, http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/yardsPerPassAttemp t
Brady
Manning
Brees
Rodgers
Rivers
Ben
Vick
Schaub
Ryan
Josh Freeman
Flacco had more offensive firepower than Freeman, including a far better running game but Freeman managed to have a 4 to 1 ratio in TD's (25) to INT's (6). He did not make a lot of mistakes.
Flacco is not Top 10 at all. Just look at his playoff performances, he does not step up when it matters. He has no excuses. They went out and got a 2nd WR in Boldin to team with Mason. And Heap is a Top NFL TE.
Good TD, Woody.

I don't see how people on here could consider Flacco overrated when he has been very good every year. But yet you are willing to put Josh Freeman in your top 10 and he has only had one good season and had 18 INT's in only 10 games last year. But hey that's your opinion. Flacco has been a good QB every season he has been in the league. Also Freeman played with the 8th ranked rushing team while Flacco's Ravens were 14th. Also look at the defenses that Flacco has to face twice a year and compare them with the NFC South.
I don't know who is saying Flacco is an "Elite" QB, but I would take him as a starter on my team any day. If everyone were saying he is an Elite QB then yes I would say he would be overrated but they don't. Saying he is a top 10 QB doesn't mean Elite IMO.
As for the sacks he has received. Don't you think you can blame that on the WR's lack of ability to get open? And a good reason Boldin did so well in AZ was because he was catching passes from a HOF.
I also see you added Matt Schaub in your top 10. And you talk about offensive firepower? He has a very good receiving core and run game and still can't lead his team to the playoffs.

But wouldn't you rather have Flacco over Campbell? Be honest DJ.

I wouldn't. Campbell is so bad, there's no question whether to replace him. Flacco has shown just enough promise to tempt the team to hang onto him and his mediocrity.

Watching NFL top 100 and Flacco has the most wins of any QB in the first 3 years of their career and he is already Baltimores passing leader.

So all you did with your second argument was list the Balt wrs stats saying they were pretty good: which means the guy throwing them the ball is pretty good.
I seem to recall a pretty accurate pass that ended BAL season due to a dropped ball
