The Giant's GM and coach need to be fired.

The lack of talent on the Giants is comical. The quality of coaching is also comical. The Giants need to fire both the GM and Head Coach and accept the fact that this team is a disaster. As well, the Giants need to seriously consider drafting a QB with their first pick next year.

They are not just weak at one position. They are weak at EVERY position. That only happens through bad drafts and free agency moves over an extended period of time.

I mean, who is the Giants best player? Whoever he is, he isn't very good.


I agree with 1/2 your statement. The Coach should be fired, the GM is ok for at least another year. The Giants have a number of good players at key positions:

Shockey
Manning - having a very good year thus far, to early ot burn 1st pick in draft new
Plax - having a great year
S. Smith - good rookie lots of potential
A. Pierce - Good LB
B. Jacobs- solid RB
M Strahan- still ok,
Umeyoria

Plenty of talent, cap room going into next season. The problem is not the GM it is the coach.QB.


Not enough talent.

Manning makes far too many mistakes. Ints all over the place.

Jacobs is unproven as a starting HB.

There are 15 WRs better than Plaxico. (another TD I guess)

Shockey doesn't make enough big plays, though his stats are good.

Pierce, yeah "good LB", nothing more. Everybody has a "good" LB.

Strahan, his best days are far far behind him.

The Giants need to blow up the management and assemble a new front office/coaching staff.


The Giants have plenty of talent on offense, and money to spend on D to improve their biggest weakness. Plaxico came into the weak leading the league in scoring, Shockey is a team leader. Their are teams in the NFL who don't have LB's as good as Pierce (another TD).

MGMNT has given the coach tools to succeed and the team is just not responding to coach. Fire Tom C. and let the GM continue to assemble the team, he hasn't made any fatal errors to date.


The talent (if I can call it that) in the secondary is low, very low.

The Giants have given up 97 points in three games. 97! That number may go up a bit next weekend. :)

Plaxico has a bushel of TDs, true...can't argue that.

Shockey makes the easy catches and doesn't make the hard, Pro Bowl quality ones.

Antonio Pierce? HOOOOOOOOOOONNNNK!


I wouldn't argue that NY has some problems on D that need to be addressed. I believe the draft and free agency will be good for the Giants.

T. Coughlin is the problem. He has NO control over his team, has not built chemistery, his players don't play for him or support him.

As I said at the start, 1/2 your statement is dead on accurate the Coach needs to go. The GM deserves at least another 2 years as he has assembled a decent team, and would be better if Coach hadnt run Tiki out of NY.

Giants just had a very good 2nd Half to take the game vs the Redskins.

Ya never know Jaz. Play it out to the end of the string. I actually tied once when I thought I was going to get a beat down on a TD.

Boy does this look funny in retrospect. Jan 22, 2008. Coughlin and the Giants untalented mess of a team are Super Bowl bound.
