First let me say I love the Lakers. I am a huge fan but have to call you out, my friend.

You said:

Class him MJ and Kobe? Let me give you a heads up. There is MJ in his own freaking class and everybody else.

Tim Duncan was a great player. It is difficult to compare a PF/C to a SG but Duncan was an absolute beast.

He was 4-0 in the Finals. Not many other people can claim being undefeated. MJ was 6-0 and he played during (roughly) the same time as MJ.

Duncan's numbers in the Finals?

1998-99: 27.4ppg, 14rpg, 2.4apg, 2.2bpg and 1spg while shooting 53.7% on FG's and 79.5% on FT's.

2002-03: 24.2ppg, 17rpg, 5.3ap and 5.3bpg while shooting 49.5% and 68.5%.

04-05: 20.6ppg, 14.1rpg, 2.1apg, 2.1bpg and 0.4spg

15-25? Are you freaking serious?

Oh and when mentioning TD? When talking about NBA? Stands for Tim Duncan.

KB8 or KB24 is for sure in the #2 slot and that's right now and not in 4-5 years when he racks up even more and retires.

Tim Duncan is a great player as I said before but he is NOT, nor should he ever be in MJ and then Kobe's class. Let me tell you why:

Fact: Timmy never had any range outside of 15ft
Fact: He has no left hand shot or dribble and rarely went left because he never PRACTICED it
Fact: He never averaged more than 25 PPG
Fact: More times than not when he went up against Shaq (the other dominant big man of his time) he was outsscored and out played

Look at Kobe:

Most all star MVP's ever and 13 time selection
13 times All NBA
All defense team - 11 times
5 time NBA Champ with 3 MVP's
2 time scoring champion
81 freakin points in a single game
Youngest ever to get 18,19, 20, 21 22, 23, 24, 25,26, &27,000 points
6th all-time scoring and closing quick, will be #2 or #3

The argument is not that Kobe is better than MJ but that Duncan should not be mentioned with those two. It's MJ #1 and Kobe is right there and we all know it!

Kobe was the youngest to score those points because he came out of HS and he had a jump start on players that went to college.

The stupid statement "is Duncan is in the 15-25." And since this is an open TD with no clearcut title or headline that is the route I am going with this TD.

Many can argue TD as the best PF of all time while Kobe will never be argued as the best at his position. Better than MJ? Never.

Kobe? Played with another HOF'er in Shaq. Who he threw under the bus vs the Pistons. Kobe shot 38% and refused to defer to the big man who was making 63% of his FG's and simply unguardable.

Kobe played with Shaq when he was in his prime and in beast mode and Kobe could ride his coat tails.

Duncan? Played with Robinson when he was at the end of his career and battling injuries. I would expect an NBA fan to realize that.

Depends on what you need on your team but players like Tim Duncan and Shaq do not come along that often.

Guys like Kobe and Wade come along a lot more often than a skil

I love how you totally ignored Kobe sabotaging the Finals against the Pistons when he had to prove he could be the go to guy. Rather than be a "team player" like Mister Duncan who has always been the epitome of class and integrity.

Want to know some interesting numbers from the Finals?

99-00: 36.7% on FG's, 20% on 3's
00-01: 41.5% and 33.3%
07-08: 40.5% and 32.1%
08-09: 43% and 36%

Since this is the close I find it fitting to talk about KB's leadership and ability to "close and kill" vs TD. In this KB is very comparable to MJ.

How many times have we seen KB be a leader in the 4th qtr when it counts? He is never afraid to fail (and has) but that's why he succeeds people! Duncan is not even close in closing skills and is passive at times.

Kobe's a polarizing figure and you may not like him, but TD (as great as he is), is NO Kobe Bryant
