my pick is
Frank Mir
Lesnar's out..
Dos Santos and Cain are fighting for the title..
Carwin might be a nice matchup for Fedor, but Mir has a victory over Lesnar..lol
I also think Fedor shouldn't get the top top guys just yet, he is on a two loss skid..

OK PCH it's been a while since we battled it out MMA style.
Ok so we are assuming Fedor beats Hendo. My bet is he does win most likely by decision. but I can see him catching Hendo in a submission.
The problem I have with Fedor in the HW division is that he is to small. He's 6 ft tall and usually weighs in around 230-235 for his fights. This new breed of HW that has evolved in the past 3-4 years Like JDS, Cain, Brock, Carwin, Big Foot, Overeem, and some others are
way to big. They are all 6'4" and better and all pretty much weigh in at 255-265 and come fight time some weigh in up to 280 or better. That spells disaster for Fedor. 5 years ago you couldn't find to many guys that size and if you did they really didn't have the same skills as the guys now.
So with that said I really think he should drop to LHW and start him off with a top 10 guy just to get his feet wet.
So I say give him the Winner of Forrest vs Shogun in the LHW
I know it may not be the popular pick but I believe it's the right move for his career. If you think about it, it really has become an unfair disadvantage for Fedor fighting guys 30-60 lbs heavier then him.

I know Frank Mir is a "TOP, TOP" guy, but he's not necessarily right at the title as we speak.. get me?

I would take it Peach, but I am already in a different TD with you. I only have time to do 1 at a time over here.

You ask who he "should" face.....is "should" based on who we think HE should choose to fight to increase his chances of winning like he's been doing for at least the last 6 years? or do you mean who we think UFC should schedule him against based on his recent performances? He should choose Nog who is both getting old and beat up AND Fedor knows him well which would make it an easy win and a nostalgic match up for fans....UFC should schedule him against Mir who is decent but not at the top since Fedor hasn't earned a match against a top guy.

Can't you just play nice with others when it comes to Fedor

well....there ARE 2 ways to look at who he "should" fight....HE would CHOOSE a different person than most people and UFC....MOST people would want him to fight a person that happens to be WAY out of Fedor's league like Cain or JDS.....Fedor certainly doesn't want that....he wants an easy win so he'd want Nog...preferrably a sick Nog like the one that faced Mir....

good idea with the change to LHW but then he'll face opponents that are faster than he is accustomed to.....he is used to slow plodding big guys....and quite a few LHWs get back up to close to Fedor's natural weight by fight-time...Fedor would probably have some difficulty cutting weight at his age and then trying to rehydrate for the fight....he'd be drained and slow while his younger faster opponent would not be affected the same. If Fedor was to go to LHW, it would have to be permanent and then it would take more time to adjust than he has left in his career...old dog, new tricks...

ultimately, Fedor spent so much time picking and choosing which fights to duck, the entire sport passed him by. He is older and showing signs of age while at the same time, he is attempting to fight opponents that are FAR better than the level of competition he is used to...up and coming fighters know FAR more than Fedor's average opponent has throughout his career. It's a lot like Royce Gracie beating up on people BEFORE anyone knew BJJ...now everyone knows BJJ and Gracie doesn't win...Fedor has the same problem...everyone except the unskilled brawlers he keeps picking knows how to manhandle Fedor.

I'd go with Nog for who Fedor should fight....as another Pride rematch, it has the nostalgia factor, it's big names to create a draw, and it doesn't risk the reputation or ranking of a higher ranked fighter should Fedor get lucky. In all, it's not too different from him fighting Hendo at a catchweight....people get to see a potentially good fight that really means nothing to the big picture....Hendo won't lose his SF LHW title if he loses...Fedor gets paid again which is all he really cares about...It's a win win since LHW Hendo is smaller and "expected" to lose and legacy doesn't matter to Fedor more than the paycheck or else he would have signed up for the big leagues rather than sign up for a promotion that got bought out by the big leagues...after signing up for a promotion that went under...

I say let him have a rematch with Werdum....

The best Idea would be to coax Couture into one more fight and give Randy his dream fight against Fedor but that may be alittle far fetched

Nah. Not after the way Randy got K.O.'d in his last fight.

Ohh I agree he isn't going to do that. Just don't want to see Randy fight again.

Fedor - RC is just way to late to happen now late in their careers.

Maybe so, but it would still be a huge money maker.

Since pride basically is what he is doing fighting guys to increase his chances. I do like the Mir match up and even a rematch with Werdum. But he shouldnt face any top elite fighters because we all saw what happen against Silva. Old fashion beat down.
