Well first of all, this is no easy task. Between rabid fan bases, domes, and weather, this decision was no easy task. So...
I am going to take a jaunt to sunny Florida and say the Jacksonville Jaguars. Alltel Stadium (or Jacksonville Municipal Stadium really does not have anything going for it. Jacksonville lacks the rabid fanbase of, say, Oakland, where even though the team is horrible, people still show up. The Jaguars have been a respectable team for the last few years, but that still has not helped.
Before the 2005 season, the Jags had to put over 9,000 seats out of service by covering the with tarps to avoid looming blackouts. Doesn't sound like that loyal of a fan base, does it?
Aside from the Jaguars having a pretty good team and defense, there is nothing else intimidating about going into Jacksonville. All you have to do is go in and play, while tuning out the few fans that are there. Easier than playing in a dome.

This one is pretty easy to go with,
All in All- we are looking at Pro Team- with Free agentcy and the fact that these players have played in front of hostile crowds for the past 10-12 YEARS (3 junior high-4 High school, 3-5 NCAA )
I played FB- and to me- the home feild seemed overrated- true it was only on the highest level in HS- and I never played in front of 90K (but have played in 20K+)
What does wear on you is how the team is across the feild- no one likes to go to NE and PLay, or Pitt or Baltimore wanted to go to Dallas and play or San Fran back in the day.
The teams there played every weekend- and they hit hard.
The only thing that really mattered was how the feild is- natural vs turf .
All in all the easist team to play at home is the one that stinks at home.
so that said I'm going with:
The Detroit Lions who are 23-39 over the past six seasons at home - worst in the NFL

You seem to be forgetting one thing: the dome factor. Domes are louder than normal stadiums because the crowd noise is contained by the roof and not allowed to go out into the air. That being said, a dome filled to half the capacity of a large stadium can match it in terms of noise. Some of the toughest places to play (RCA Dome, Superdome, Edward Jones Dome) are domes. Ford Field is no different. Even though it is filled to around half-capacity, it can still be loud thanks to the fact that it is a dome.
Jacksonville Municipal Stadium can be regarded as much easier to play in because it is barely filled (10,000 seats are out of service) and the crowd noise immediately goes away. The Jaguars are a tough opponent to play, but not having to deal with the stadium is a plus for all opponents.

Most crowds are not very loud when thier team is down 20.
I have been to the georgia DOME and not even had to raise my voice to talk.
and Jax has 67,164 seats vs 65,000 for the Lions and that is including the 9,713 tarped over for the NFL games.
Also Jax averaged 66,858 per game last year at 90% Capacity 20th in the NFL
Detroit? 60,889 fans per game. 30th in the NFL
SO what else you got beside the DOME factor? There are 6 Dome teams in the NFL- so are they the hardest places to play?
and the other teams are all playing for 7th?
If Domes really mattered you can bet that Jerry Jones would be putting THREE over the cowboys!
I take you back to this- the Jags are a better team and that keeps the crowd into it.
Plus the Jags have a MUCH better D- and ( I never played offense ) I can tell you a hard hitting D makes you a lot more miserable then a thousand drunk people yelling to fire Matt Millen.
In fact the Dome HELPS you in Detroit! They are wanting to FIRE MILLEN not kill the other team! They are preoccupied with him rather than interrupting your snap count! PLus the D is so inept that you don;t need to throw and audy to confuse them!

So, as a player, you would rather travel up north to cold Detroit than down to Florida?
The dome factor still has its effects. Indianapolis has one of the smallest stadium capacities in the league, yet it is still one of loudest. Why? Capacity means nothing.
Noise is noise. The dome captures noise, so even if it isn't directly aimed at the players on the field, it is still a distraction to the opposing team.
Detroit has dedicated fans. If they weren't dedicated, how come they can still draw 60,000 fans? It may not seem like a lot of people, but 60,000 is still a lot of people for a dome.
Bottom line: It would be harder to play at Detroit than at Jacksonville.

Yes going to detroit stinks- but you are in a Dome where they keep it warm for the fans- and you.
Jax went 6-2 in 2006 and are 2-0 so far this year- sorry wiki don;t go back farther than that.
The Lions 2-6 last year and they are 2-0 this year.
To sum up:
Team stinks: Lions
Defense Stinks: Lions
Fans hate THIER team: Lions
LESS Fans: Lions
Contrast that too you just pimping the Dome- Hmmm Big Deal!
I still got room left but that would be wasting space. With a 8-2 record over the past two years I would say that Jax is a HARD place to play. But a 4-6 record makes D-town an easy place to play- and over the past 6 years they are still an easy mark.

Could bust out some home records of the past few seasons.

Also, congrats on the baby.

Report Offensive CommentDJ, the Jags ALWAYS have a winning record while at home...it may not always be 8-0 at home but it is usually 6-2 or maybe...MAYBE 5-3 at worst...
It is also a VERY nice stadium (I visited the stadium during spring break last year while I was in Florida).
