Instead of going the extra mile and arguing on this post, I am going to pass until the second round to make my arguments. I'd like to hear your rebuttal.

Pirates are the Cinderella story this year, and a playoff run seems logical. Let's do it!

I disagree. The Pirates are off to a great start, but I don't think they can keep it up and keep up with the Cardinals and Brewers. The NL Central is incredibly tight. Right now there's a 3 way tie! St. Louis and Cincinnati are heating up. The Pirates are about to open up a huge series against the Braves. It would be cool if the Pirates made the playoffs because they rarely make the playoffs.

Logical? How. It seems logical for the Reds to make the playoffs once again. But it seems like the Cardinals have this NL Central title. The reemergence of Lance Berkman's power and great pitching from Jaime Garcia without their ace Wainwright is amazing. The Cardinals meanwhile play the lowly Astros and Cubs at home. I expect them to go 6-1 or 5-2. The Pirates play the Braves and Phillies all on the road. I expect the Pirates to go 3-4 or at best 4-3. The Cardinals then start to build up a big lead on the Pirates. The Reds meanwhile come off a successful series against the Braves. I'll get back to the Reds.

I also don't expect the Pirates to make the playoffs through the wild card. Atlanta is way to good to lose the wild card.

Good Luck and sorry about your Pirates

Forfeited Turn

The Cardinals killed last night as expected. The Pirates won and Ronald Mcdonald pitched well. Ooops I meant James. Anyway the Braves got 8 hits off him and he pitched 5 innings. That proves that the Pirates got lucky and the Braves didn't take advantage of the runners on base.

The Pirates, Reds, and maybe the Brewers have the firepower to overpower the Pirates in the NL Central standings.

Well as I said things are gonna get hard for the Pirates. The Cardinals meanwhile are playing the basement teams for a week.

Nice argument by the way...

Bucs looked pretty outclassed by the Cards this past weekend (although they showed a lot of fight to win on Sunday). However, unless they can add another bat, I don't see it happening. I'm really hoping they win about 85-90 games, though.

It would be awesome to see the Pirates make the playoffs after all these years, and against such a stacked division. Too bad left forfeit a turn. Wah.

Ok, that's a valid reason.

While it would be great to see the Pirates make the playoffs, I don't see them outplaying the Brewers or Cardinals. I would love to see the Pirates make the playoffs, though. Would be great to see them have some success.

Sure hope the Pirates make it !

Sorry guys, Gracefully forfeit. First TD in like a year and it ends like this. Well played!
