A player with the talent level (skill and athletic) and basketball iq of jimmer fredette will not fail in the nba. his shooting range is reminiscent of chris jackson before the tourette's medicine and he has a remarkable handle. the premier point guards in the nba no longer shoot the ball extremely well from the perimeter therefore he can afford to play off a step from the rose's, rondo's, and d. will's of the league so his defensive liabilty will be minimized. you simply cannot guard a player that can shoot the ball from that deep simply cannot be guarded. Playing off Tyreke Evans he will average 20 points per game.

I don't think so...
You have to be able to play defense to make the all-star game. Fredette averaged 28.9 points per game. As a guard he only averaged 4.3 assists per game. That is low for a guard. When Fredette experiences NBA defense his numbers will go down. I mean in the NBA you can't just run down court and pull up for a 40 footer and make it. You will get D'd up. He only shoots. He isn't a very good slasher at all. Fredette first needs to not be so 1- dimensional.
Do you really think Fredette will make the all star game over Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Manu Ginobili and Russell Westbrook? And there will probably be new players drafted and players traded to the West that will be better than Fredette. For example Kevin MArtin, and Monta Ellis may make it to the all-star game.
Also "Playing off Tyreke Evans he will average 20 points per game." Are you serious? Evans will overshadow Fredette. Marcus Thornton averaging 21.3 points per game, and Tyreke averaging 17.8 points per game. Fredette will not be averaging 20 points per game. Also Cousins averaged 14.1 ppg. Theres no room for Fredette to be doing what he was doing on BYU.
Good Luck

LOL. Forfeited just like Jimmers chances of making the ASG.
Like I said having developing stars like Marcus Thornton and Tyreke on the team make sit very hard to for Jimmer to hog the ball and score lots of points like he did in BYU.

Jimmer Fredette played some very skilled and entertaining college basketball, but claiming he will be an NBA All-Star before he has even played a game in the NBA is too far I think. Looking forward to seeing more of the arguments but it's going to be a tough sell.

Jimmer is a walking legend in the state of Utah. They worship him out there. When the Jazz passed on drafting him (knowing he could sell out their arena by himself) that spoke volumes to me. All star...even the experts that saw him day in day out thought otherwise - or they would have grabbed him. Jimmer looks like the second coming of JJ Reddick to me......

Rights argument as to why he WON'T make the All-Star team is ridiculous, wrong, and horrible. No vote.

I watched Ja-Ja Jammin' Jimmer play live several times 3 of his 4 years while at BYU. Both regular season games and MWC Tourney games. And like I've said before for how great of a college player he was he will struggle create shots for himself and I can already see him getting his ankles broken on D. He will be nothing more than a 3 point specialist at best. He'll be a poor mans JJ Reddick. And someday will be mentioned along this likes of Adam Morrison.

JJ was a much more consistent shooter than Jimmer. Look at Jimmer's stats, his shooting % was all over the place. In the NBA he will be asked to be consistent of the bench like JJ is and I don't think he will be able to.
